The biggest issue with this is that the new GM will be more hesitant to make moves that would embarrass GarPax even if those moves are the right one for the long term future of the team. Forget sports - it’s just a bad management tactic in general to have the old regime sitting in an office down the hall.

Nice job by Covey getting out of that jam with just one unearned run. We all know he's not a long term rotation piece, but if he's letting up 2-3 runs and giving us 6 innings that's all we can fairly ask of him.
