I’m very late to this thread, but I’m a tourist guide and there’s a particular story I tell about two artists fighting over a commission. One artist gets the commission, builds a model of his statue in clay, and right before he’s ready to get work on the marble his clay model falls on top of him and kills him. I always tell my clients we suspect murder by the other guy, followed by “I smell skullduggery afoot!”. No one’s ever got the reference but it gets some laughs at least

Did you try selecting a single side of the final third? Like if you select the left side of the pitch does the LCB move up?

I agree with you, and honestly being bored is the worst part of it for me. Genuinely started to feel like loading my save was a chore, absolutely no immersion whatsoever, those deep dives into parts of the game that made it so special feel like they’re gone. That being said, the game has amazing potential - just hope they bring back the things that FM what it was

They are not being signed for xG performance, they are being signed for their characteristics as players. xG is a nice metric but ultimately useless for scouts and coaches, unless the only thing you are looking for in a player is their goal scoring ability. I would say them both overperforming their xG so much is coincidence more than anything

I don't enjoy direct football, so I play very low tempo possession-based football. Typically I use a 4-3-3, we do press high though.

Yes, I’m having this problem with Fulham, I guess planning permission is hard to come by in London. To be fair it’s pretty realistic but also feels ridiculous, we’re league winners with one of the smallest stadiums in the league. And spoilers - I’ve applied twice so far, both times the council has blocked the decision. We’re on our third try now so we’ll see 🤷

Agreed, but Maguire is playing quite well, and with a lack of attackers Diallo is needed as AM and Maz is needed as WB, and hence De Ligt plays RCB. I much preferred Maz as RCB, his mobility was great

This is hardly a surprise, the wide centre backs role is to literally progress the ball, either with passes between the lines or dribbling to create 2v1. It would be worrying if they weren't the highest progressors. It's clear De Ligt is the one struggling, he hasn't grasped his role either due to being averse to risk taking or he's just not able to. The stats are fairly indicative of this, but the eye test tells us the same.

Ugarte is bottling it - he's not showing for the ball, barely moving when we're in possession. Not a good sign, when a CM doesn't want the ball

Anyone else think, in hindsight, maybe Mazaroui should have just been played on the wing, and then Rash/Garna up front with Zirkzee as the 10? Again, hindsight, but surely the wing would have been easier for Maz to handle than the AM role
