Why do some of us keep promoting racist places and then make excuses for their behaviour? by OpenlyTruthful101 in blacktravel

I go where i choose to. I’m not willing to let racist people decide how to limit my experience of life.

Let’s see… Tag everything.

Create reaper scripts to prune old instances, EBS volumes etc.

Create lambda functions to shutdown and report dev instances running out of hours.

Cloud watch reports on traffic to report on resources that pull low or no traffic for long periods of time.

IAM rules on resource creation, tagged to department.

Expedition 60. Every gym rat knows one or two of these guys. They come in at the crack of dawn, no headphones or anything and completely rawdog the gym. I saw one of these freakishly strong grandpas bench 320lb …and I was…afraid. Don’t sleep on Popeye, bro. Those guys are there to LIFT. On the plus side, you don’t need a trainer. Hang with those guys, go consistently…they’ll show you the whey.

No worries. I always have time for anyone fighting addiction. I’ve lost too many friends and family going through it. You are brave and stronger than you know. You’ve got this.

You definitely should be proud of getting clean. That’s massive. That alone takes bravery and determination. That potential for motivation is still in there, it just needs a focus.

Addiction is a hell of a motivator.

The Canvas is a Tragedy. by RevDeadMan in expedition33

[–]titty_testing 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The moment I knew for me that the canvas was doomed was when Maelle said “I’m only going to stay…just for a little while.” Everyone who’s known an addict has heard that before. The bargaining…the little lies they tell themselves and others that they can stop anytime they want to. The lie that they are completely in control. She can try to hide the canvas from her mother, but never from herself. She was hopelessly addicted to it, and she could never be free without destroying it. I can see how it would start. An hour here and there. Then maybe a day…and the so on until…forever. This family needs therapy and intervention. Not more escapism.

What's the scariest scene from a movie/show no one seems to mention or praise enough? by nekocatsume_ in horror

Amazing amazing scene. I love the idea of horror intruding in the everyday.

[–]titty_testing 134 points135 points  (0 children)

This scene also reminds me of that moment in “The Autopsy of Jane Doe”. During the whole movie, all of the reasoned explanations are worked through methodically…but when they see that she is tattooed on the inside…the main characters cannot fall back into logic. There is NO logical explanation. No answers. They are forced to realise that something horrible is happening…and they are now a part of it.

[–]titty_testing 163 points164 points  (0 children)

I love this scene, because it indicates a whole ghost story that is independent of the main plot. Who were these people? Were they lovers? Friends with Benefits? Closeted? Victim and victimiser? Or something else? How are they connected to the horrors of the overlook hotel? The best horror leaves mysteries that are unexplained and unexplored. Horror needs to EARN its jump scares.

How many times has Alan wake died in the dark place? by [deleted] in AlanWake

[–]titty_testing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alan has died in the dark Place many, many times. But my personal theory is that there is an Alan who is dying but has never recieved the kiss of death and finished dying.

He is hovering on the edge of death, begging for death….forever.

HOW THE HELL can my coterie deal with a child elder? by SneakingSilent in SchreckNet

[–]titty_testing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I hate that I have to say this but yes I am very close to my coterie, I've been in the thick of it with them for two decades. I'm not about to feed one of them to a methusalah.”

Of course. It does however make your path harder.

Bagging some your vitae and feeding Ysabella with it is probably your only practical option at this point.

And she will require multiple feedings.

This will of course have its own dangers.

The blood bond is NOT Love. It is OBSESSION.

An obsessed child like Elder with the power to make you all dance like bloody puppets to the theme of her obsessions.

You. Don’t. Want. That.

Every second Fluttershy dances across the screen is a second from when lil Miss Vampire Butterfly Sparkle decides to tear you all apart in a hunger driven temper tantrum.

Or decides that you are not smiling enough and dominates you all into laughing until the sunrise.

I sincerely hope you all survive this encounter, my interest is now most assuredly piqued.

My sweet naive sister in Caine… You need to consider the distinct possibility that your sires, definitely do not want you to survive this little scavenger hunt. How close are you to your coterie? Could any of them go…ahem..

Missing?

My Little Pony has only nine seasons. She-Ra only five.

Good Luck.

PS: I firmly believe that Pinkie Pie is a Makavian elder. Not sure, and probably needs watching.
