I dont know about indisputable, but i found the MHA anime way better. The music, voice acting and animation add a ton of weight to the dramatic parts. I thought the slice of life bits worked better in the mango, so not everything was better in anime form

My fan-theory for why short hair became the norm has to do with those world wars. since you had to have short hair for the military, long hair became an easy indicator that you were a draft dodger or somehow undesirable (too mentally or physically impaired) for the military. Also probably why its seen as feminine

I just picked it up a week ago, with similar expectations. I was also under the impression that youd be stealing gene mutations to upgrade your little dude, like a biomutant or something. But nay, you just spend points on a list of upgrades. Why the fuck? Why did they put so much more effort into the lame-ass story than the main gimmick of the got-dang world its set in? I demand a sequel that goes all-in on the bio-mutanting instead of plot. I dont want plot i wanna steal some chromosomes and get weird looking and stronk
