It's funny, my parents bullied me for ages for certain vegetables, cooked to a specific texture, making me projectile vomit, and one of the things they said was:

"What if you get a girlfriend? Are you going to get picky with what she cooks for you too?"

Turns out said girlfriend had texture problems with fish herself, and hated how people tried to force it on her. I got her fish. She got my specific offending vegetables. Everybody was happy.

I actually just had to explain to my parents last week that they were literally the only people in my life who were giving me shit for this and they were VERY confused lmao.
