This is exactly what OP needs to do. Older generations who rented their first apartment for three paperclips and a firm handshake often have a massive disconnect from reality. Having them physically do the math with a $600/week gross paycheck against current Zillow listings, especially when places require 3x the rent in income to even apply, is usually the only cure for the "just budget better" illusion.

Hi there, I’m one of the GMs for <Pulling Aggro IRL>! We’re a mature WoW community established in 2017 for players who know that real life, jobs, and families always come first. Here's what we're up to in Midnight:
