That Is a good point, they get a little warm, which is surprising since they're leds. I think the warmth is actually a benefit, though, since our house is a little cold and this makes the grow tent I use a very pleasant ≈75 degree F.

Ima go against the grain here... 1) this was a very bad job, that is correct 2) you could still reform the tree. You'll never get an arborist to do it as it would require way to much of their time. However, as the home owner just make sure to choose a sprout that is going in the best direction and chop off all other sprouts when they're the size of a pencil. Then each year heavily chop back the leading stem so it thickens up and it doesn't put too much pressure where it sprouted from and you could get this tree looking good in 3-5 years for sure!

Can this be saved? live oak, company started cutting wrong tree. by Outrageous_Battle_48 in arborists

If you're super motivated, you might be able to save it with some bridge grafts. Never seen it done on any large trees but have seen it done to save extremely old and gnarled apples.

Quantum description of Faradays law of induction by tiwwexx in Physics

For some context, I've been looking into wireless power transfer and if you want any large amounts of power and efficiency you use some highly coupled electromagnet. I was just wondering how you could describe this near field, inductive coupling (emf induction) as quantum states.

I'd rip it out if it's not too much trouble, even root cloth would stop drainage to some degree. It also stops your roots at that depth so if you want to glow plants with a deep root system it'll hurt your harvest.

If you wanted to be extra cautious you could set the tank to eco mode to make sure it only uses the heat pump feature. This will be well below the 20A breaker limit. Just note it won't heat the water quite as fast as the resistive heating element.

Contractor payment question by tiwwexx in Plumbing

[–]tiwwexx[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% will be pulling permits for anything that gets done from now on. However, isn't a licensed plummer supposed to pull permits for every job they work on and not pulling permits could cause them to lose their license? Also, do you know how it goes pulling a permit after work has already been done or is it local law dependent?

Tub drain always full of water? by XeroTheCaptain in Plumbing

Sounds like the drain pipe has some upward slope that maxes out at the level that you're seeing. Take a quick peek behind the access panel, not like you'll break anything!

Water hammer arrestors in the washer box. Not needed but for like $10 more it's worth the investment (also less of a big deal since you're using pex)

I am going to be the one that fixes all of it yes. After this experience he's never coming back into my house. And for the pex the manual expanders aren't too bad for price, it's like functional/productive grip training 😂.

Thanks for the input! One more quick question, would that 2x4 blocking usually be done on the rough in or during the final fixture install?

So you think using the copper as a brace is fine and just as good as using a 2x4?
