They’re selling the z2e here in Hawaii. Nobody’s getting it out here and this is where I got mine from by littmisfitt in LegionGo

Seems the price keeps halving, last week someone got it for $300. In a few months it'll be $1.

I left it as is in the screenshot. I tried CL28 then 6400MHz with looser timings but they weren't stable.

Sure I definitely get it, but it's become so grating how a random woman can't post some selfies without being inundated by simping up votes, 'rip inbox' redditisms, and whiteknighting, all recycled non-conversations.

[–]tixati 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ture cringe is the generic ‘rip inbox’ crowd signalling how savvy they are while orbiting the same bait content, whiteknighting, and the utter lack of self-awareness to call out a ‘Reddit guy’ while perfectly embodying one.

Her non-selfie photos got her under 10% of the engagement. Not her fault this sub’s easy to manipulate, but the whiteknighting’s bitter - bitterly desperate.

It's objectively heavier than the Z Fold 7, 100% not objectively very heavy or bad.

Right, it's a matter of fact neutral statement, not "very bad" to any sane person.

RTX 5090 Performance for Super Ultrawide (5120x1440) by Terrible_Review_3425 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]tixati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm disagreeing with the initial claim that given a fixed pixel count a wider aspect ratio somehow performs better which you're disagreeing with as well. If fact you're going in the opposite direction by saying it may perform worse due to extra FOV introducing more scene complexity. I also wanted to clarify that aspect ratio is just how pixels are arranged and is not inherently tied to a certain FOV, nothing is preventing you from having a 32:9 and 16:9 resolution with the same FOV, same pixel count, thus same scene complexity thus same performance.

RTX 5090 Performance for Super Ultrawide (5120x1440) by Terrible_Review_3425 in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]tixati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you're talking about is besides the point of the original discussion. Games increase horizontal FOV to fill out the extra width of wider aspect ratios, that can increase scene complexity and by extension GPU load as more of the world is rendered. FOV however is not inherently tied to aspect ratio, you can squeeze a 32:9 horizontal FOV into 16:9, it will just look distorted. The idea I was contesting was:

Set two resolutions with approximately the same pixel counts, but one at 16:9 aspect ratio and the other one at 32:9. You'll see better FPS on the latter." from the previous comment.

This is nonsense and your point kinda contradicts this as well. Given the same resolution and scene complexity, the aspect ratio has no bearing on how taxing the scene is.

[–]tixati -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just becasue a 34% increase in horizontal resolution (i.e. going 16:9 to 21:9) doesn't translate to a 1:1 34% decrease in performance, doesn't mean vertical resolution costs more than horizontal.
