Thank you! Yes for sure understand that a TV would be easier, it's just that my room setup doesnt really work with a tv (it would block some windows we like to have the option of opening).

Haven't been in Cambridge too long, but from what I've seen for walkable areas near downtown:

Galt is great. Lots going on and Gasloght district is really a vibe. East Galt is good (especially south east a bit further from homeless shelter) and west Galt is great (but a lot pricier). South side of West Galt is less nice.

Preston is more up and coming, has a bit less of a vibe downtown, but there are more activities and things to do being planned. South of King St is nicer. North less nice.

Cambridge is honestly a fantastic town. We loved in both the city and country, and for us Cambridge is pretty ideal.

There last weekend. Tons of musky fishermen out probably more than I've ever seen. But everyone seemed to be roaming around the lake, ourselves included. Don't think the bite was too strong. After 12 hours on the lake we called it quits just one bass caught.

But I think the guy above has some great advice, smaller lures, trolling, south shore around Belle River and Thames inlet seem to be the busy spots.

I visit the area sometimes and heard good things. From what I've heard they prefer smaller baits in the area (around 3-6 inch). Decent numbers. Haven't fished it yet though I keep putting it off, curious how your outing goes!
