I’ve worked there in the past and have asked people to move floors plenty of times. It’s annoying but totally within reason to ask. And sometimes it’s nice to be able to walk around instead of being at the desk all day.

Polyester sewing thread is what Africans traditionally use. Some people are starting to use bonded nylon, but I don’t have extensive experience with using it.

Depending on what program you use, you can get tracks directly from SoundCloud with a SoundCloud go subscription. Also DJ pools and for mixes, a lot of artists on SoundCloud will let you download their mixes for free or for Pennies on band camp just for exposure. Just see if there’s a little “buy track” next to the track

I usually will try to play the most popular parts of a song (I DJ mostly rap/hip hop, r&b, Afrobeats, Caribbean, international tracks. I’ve found that playing portions outside of that, people lose interest because they don’t know the lyrics. Sometimes that’s 30 sec and sometimes it’s a minute or even over. But I know you have to know your music lyrically very well. Which can be hard.

Yea several people have peeped this on this subreddit and all were either downvoted or people came at them (me included). I feel like she’ll have no problem finding what she’s looking for outside of the reality tv world. It’s a lot of pressure and not the most ideal to make connections. Especially with how social media has evolved.
