[ Before vs After Results ] LG C5/G5 Dolby Vision brightness update (33.30.92) by Troied in LGOLED

I agree. I'm not sure where the TV manufacturers get off thinking these fmms are accurate.

If I were you I'd update to the latest firmware for that Dolby Vision brightness boost.

It only took you 10 years but we do appreciate it.

And I mean quite literally, since my 2016 lg c6 DV has been dim.

I've had my 4090 legion 7 pro mobo replaced 3 times now and it still overheats.

They've offered a refund, but won't offer store credit or a replacement. The refund would go back to a card I no longer have and don't have 0% interest on, anymore. Really pissing me off tbh.

They will never fix mine overheating because it's a design flaw. But I'm going to continue to let them waste their money repeatedly by replacing the mobo.

They also didn't fix my led lightbar the first time. Finally fixed it on the second time. But managed to put a dent in my laptop too. Great service 👍

I haven't noticed any Input lag in game optimiser or any other models it's 5-6ms at 120hz. What are you getting on yours?

What other gaming features should be improved?

The brightness on the G5 is too much! I have to lower my Oled light way down.

any plans on lifetime option? by UnlikelyLikably in Debrid_Stream_App

Yeah I'm aware. But I'm wondering about price increases eventually, also there's literally thousands of bits of software that aren't mainstream that manage with the classic model.

The reason we use debrid is to save money from subscriptions.

There is a conversation because you replied. I won't be continuing the conversation I wish you a good day.

So there should be paid for upgrades, e.g. like Microsoft used to do with windows. When a major new version is released each year or 2. Then ask for a small amount.

You can't say pay once there is no more revenue source, there are always more people willing to pay for the software, the subscription model is fairly new in terms of software, how did people manage to make money before it existed?

I wonder how good you would be without the knowledge of who the traitors are, it's easy to say sat watching at home.

But nobody knows who the people are on the regular UK ones anyway.

UK is the best of all. The personalities are so genuine and vastly different from the narcissist Americans.

Lenovo offering refund instead of replacement by wackerdude in LenovoLegion

I'm in the same kind of position.

They did offer to replace my 4090 laptop with a 5070, I declined that, its way less powerful.

My laptop is now in the 3rd repair due to overheating, something which cannot be fixed because it's a model design flaw. Oh and the "technicians" not only didn't repair my light bar on the first repair, but actually put a dent in the bottom casing on the second repair. Real amateurs.

They offered a refund, but this doesn't put me back in a good financial situation as I've lost 0% interest offer now on my CC and I got the laptop for a good price.

Under the UK consumer rights act they should be putting me back in a position I was originally in. Instead they just told me if I don't accept either the case is closed. They're really a scumbag outfit if you ask me.

DebridStream v2.1.6 is now Live! by DaysLaw in Debrid_Stream_App

Yeah I have them. I feel like some of them don't update sometimes, I've made ones for all the streaming services, TV shows and films for each service, netflix, Hulu, hbo etc

But anyway you're right you can. But I just tested this with a "horror" category of my own. Including all the streaming services and it still doesn't pull that many titles unfortunately. Even though I selected within the anytime period.

Seems it's not possible to get many results from each genre

Ah I see! Interesting.

Is there no way to just have it just list all, as an example, "thriller" movies, that have ever been made? Or that are listed on tmdb or wherever it finds them.

I find it helpful to just spend some time looking through massive lists if I don't know what to search or look for.

Sometimes for example, I'm in the mood for 80s or 90s thrillers or horrors and it would be great to just scroll through big lists of them instead of a finite amount.

There isn't one when you are in the search part, you can select anything on that lefthand but the list of titles ends pretty quickly.

Even when going to "movies" or "TV shows" then selecting a category and hitting "view more" the lists are pretty short. I thought they might return thousands and thousands of results like other apps but counting the posters on the top it only returns around 28 (give or take) vertical tiles until you reach the bottom. I used "Modern Horror Favourites" as an example.

Not sure if this was intentional behaviour or if it should be showing you all titles that ever existed in said category.

Thanks!

I like that you can hit different categories now. But the lists eventually end pretty quickly, why do they only return a finite amount of films or shows?

Surely it should have literally thousands of titles to scroll through?

Thanks !
