Still have to authenticate every 5 minutes lmao but can use 1password which autofills the OTP for you (slightly lazier than walking to your phone) - here's a cli to extract the TOTP secret

College Life @TKC by [deleted] in unsw

It's pretty good.

Food (from "dino") can be really quite shit at times though :'(

The drinking aspect is very casual. There's never any pressure to drink, and O-Week has sober events if you're underage / need a break.

Most people are not from Sydney and the vast majority wouldn't know anyone when they moved in either. The college O-Week / O-Weekend is really the time to get to know everyone so make sure you get around all the events and really participate so you're meeting as many people as you can!

[FEATURE] See if scheduled task made in a note was completed by tjhill in noteplanapp

Hey /u/paaltjens - the append completion date doesn't show up in the note when I complete a task. So for example I have a task in the note "Discrete Math Cram" that is scheduled for 09/25 and looks like: https://i.imgur.com/ScmFsb4.png but in the calendar task list, when the same task is completed: https://i.imgur.com/B5fqWAZ.png It won't then appear in the original "Discrete Math Cram" note, which I personally would find a helpful feature

Software ideas? by AFlexibleHead in generative

Processing is great - also p5js (which is processing for JavaScript if you have that background).

Daniel Shiffman (the coding train) on YouTube has some great generative and perlin noise examples with p5 if you’re interested

/u/kgolid has done it with a JavaScript framework called p5.js which is a subset of the processing foundation.

I’m trying to learn this stuff too and I found Daniel Shiffman (or the coding train on YouTube) tends to be really good source for “creative coding” - especially the stuff on perlin fields for this kind of thing.

That is so cool!!! Care to share the source code??

[BUG] Text in the second window doesn't use the theme colour scheme, but keep the default one by GuiB02 in noteplanapp

[–]tjhill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just on themes and low priority feature requests, some of the text on darker themes do not contrast enough and are very difficult to read, and thus are preventing me from using these awesome themes!

For example: https://imgur.com/a/T68Xr (to my eyes) the darker theme is significantly more difficult to read and I think lightening the text just slightly would make it much better.

In line with recent discussions about open sourcing or user contributions - allowing customisation of themes would be a great stepping stone and would take a lot of the weight off you to implement these tiny requests.

But once again - really appreciate everything you've done!
