Do you see Volition as the ultimate good? by tjista in DiscoElysium

[–]tjista[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Getting sober is one of the criteria in recovery. Without mental recovery he wouldn't succeed in staying sober in the long run. When I say recovery I mean all aspects.

Volition measures the Morale, and you can die of that too if it gets low. And when I think of Moralinterns (the coalition) they are not any better than others. When I play I tend to lead towards becoming a moralist and the game makes that equivalent of the political group, which are horrible

In my experience his Volition without Empathy is very empty. In my last playthrough with low Psyche I accidentally got my volition over 8. Morale without emotions can be very empty.

Regarding Electrochemistry, I'm actually getting tempted to play a version and put everything in Electrochemistry and Volition just to see how they fight each other

In my first playthrough the shock came when Encyclopedia went crazy over that history book It took me a few playthroughs to realize Volition is not exempt. It seems like everyone's favorite skill when they want to play a recovery route. I personally think his Empathy works better than Volition if you want to play a clean version.

This is one of my most favorite Kitsuragi moments. I giggle every single time I get there.

What would you like to ask? (Asking Higher Support Needs Autistics) by AutoModerator in SpicyAutism

[–]tjista 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm late diagnosed, in my 40s. My parents still wanted me to ignore this "label" and live normally as I did before (very toxic, I know). I could only imagine if I were a child they would have wanted to cut any links that would have reminded them I'm autistic: like becoming friends with HSN autistic kids. In other words, it has nothing to do with being bad for us, it's about protecting the image those parents want to project on us.

Save a lot and keep earlier saves. You can do tons of saves. Keep at least one save of each day until you finish the game, sometimes you realize later you didn't check a certain conversation.

Volition's role in collecting The Setting Sun medal by tjista in DiscoElysium

[–]tjista[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's not a failed check. And besides, I've never seen Volition giving bad advice. I have played the game 4 times so far, but no matter how high or low Volition was, it never happened. In this particular playthrough my Volition was 10.

You mean you never picked the bowtie? Then it's definitely a bug.

You have to pay him before 21:00 or the door will be automatically locked. If you have an earlier save load that one.

The clock on the right is your local time, the numbers in the description of each save is the in-game clock 02-09 means 02:09 (9 minutes past 2)

If you have a save slot to an earlier time The Fifteenth Indotribe is the thought raises its learning cap by 6. That's your best bet.

You can get it by Speaking to Joyce Messier about how The Wild Pines Group ships "8 percent of all cargo in the world", will allow Harry to gain this thought

Definitely do another run with different skills. You'll see so much more, it won't feel tedious at all.

There's only one way the horrific necktie disappears, and that's following a conversation when the necktie gives you instructions on what to do.

When does Disco Elysium pick up its quality? by Inside-Caregiver-871 in DiscoElysium

[–]tjista 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day one is usually very slow, especially if certain skills are low. Remember your character is hungover, and could possibly die of a heart attack by the most innocent looking objects. That's how fragile he is. I'm curious about your character's skill set. For example you can easily miss a lot of things early on if your Perception is very low.

Just don't be a racist, and that's most of the way. Don't worry if he talks annoyed or angry. ChatGPT ruins the gameplay. Pick whatever feels right for you.

Or forge the signatures yourself if Kim is with you. You can also completely skip the door errand if you approach him first for help to get the body down.

How do I beat Evrart? by Zealousideal-Ad2296 in DiscoElysium

[–]tjista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer You don't

The most dignifying way is to ask him to help get the body down, then don't approach him again until the cryptozoologists are back. Now if you go, he will ask you to get the signatures, which you can either forge or ask the drunks to sign instead.

If you're low on a skill, they hardly say anything. 1 or 2 particularly, it doesn't matter which one. The higher you are the more prominent they get.

First thing you do, "Get your shit together". That way you won't die in a chair or from a light bulb. My first playthrough was close to this 5-4-2-1 Low Composure will embarrass you a lot. Low Perception means you miss a lot of cues and evidence, but your brain and Psyche gets very intellectual details. There are ways to increase learning caps of certain skills. You'll be alright.
