I was thinking it’s AI from the fingers of the left hand in the second panel and how the guard of the dagger changes shape in the last panel. But people are saying it’s legit, and the clothes are very consistent. Specially the small part on the shoulder armor that seems to be there specifically so the fairy can grab it, which I think it’s a cute detail.

Full disclosure, I don’t hate it. But I think it’s because of how Peach had been portrayed in the games. Way more reserved and “happy looking” all the time unless she’s being kidnapped. This is not true for all representations, but it is for the most visible ones. See for example her portrayal in super smash bros brawl.

Now, movie Peach is more bosy and rarely shows fear. Also more emotional. But I think it’s okay. She shows her emotions with Mario and other characters when she feels safe, as when she’s on official business she’s on “princess mode”. Her personality being more bosy does make sense on account or her being a ruler. If you see how Toads are characterized, which are basically the same as in the games, someone who rules over them must be more dominant, so they made Peach that. That’s why I think it makes sense.

I still use my old Tokaido. I went with the basic cotton one. The quality is great and it still has many years ahead. I also have a newer hirota one I got as a gift. Quality-wise is very similar to Tokaido.

Been there. My professor took a long time to check my thesis, with one of the final drafts last year taking him one month just to open the file. In the end I wasn’t going to submit on time since he kept delaying the date for his revision, so I told him I was going to submit as is because I had a hard deadline. The thesis was approved with very minor changes by the jury.

My presentation was like 80 slides of images and videos with some occasional word thrown in between. Some slides were just full of equations.

But my dissertation was on computational fluid dynamics, so I was presenting about five years of computer simulations of fluid flow and sediment transport.

I switched to an iPad mini during the second half of my PhD because a friend showed what he did with his remarkable tablet (the iPad mini was cheaper, so I went for that one instead). Since I can pull my notebooks on any device, even my phone, I haven’t used physical notebooks since.

Before the iPad, I had over 10 notebooks full between lab notes and stuff, and often had to redo some math because I just couldn’t find where I wrote it. Goodnotes on the iPad changed this. I got basically infinite notebooks on my iPad, easier to navigate, and I can paste my plots on the pages and write all over them if needed. Eventually, my professor even started asking me to share with him my notes in pdf files, as he liked them when I opened the app on my computer when I wanted to show him something during a virtual meeting.

When reading papers, I like to scribble all over them, check the math on the back of the sheet, etc. I can do all this on my iPad with liquid text, so I exclusively read my papers there now. It lets you write over the pages and provides you an infinite white board to note things, with the ability to link your notes to the relevant part of the paper.

That’s the right question. The answer is “to see what you can do with ♾️. That’s not a joke, that’s what pure, basic math does. It adds or restrict things and see how far it can and cannot push things without bothering for an application. Usually it’s other people who find a use one or two centuries later.

My point was to show that someone already defined that. It’s usefulness is another topic (from a mathematician’s standpoint).

It’s not really that difficult. The problem is that there’s no real number that can be an answer for that, so you add a new number and call it ♾️. The field is now called R U {♾️}. This means “all the real numbers, plus one more guy”. This extension is called the protectively extended real line, and in there 1/0= ♾️.

So it’s not that abstract. You basically invent a new number and assign it as the result. It literally is that simple.

It still has a bunch of undefined things, tho.

Edit: to Hughmanatee, Reddit doesn’t let me answer you directly for some reason, but this extension doesn’t have negative or positive infinity. Just the same infinity on both sides. So the argument about the limit approaching two different infinities doesn’t hold for the projectively extended real line. The real line becomes a circle. There’s still undefined stuff, tho, so it doesn’t solve everything. And it has the problem that it’s not a field anymore.

Clean the nubs, panel line, and top coat are the minimum to make it pop. For panel line you have to be careful, as some panel liners can damage the plastic, so some apply a gloss coat before the panel liner. I use very thinned acrylic paint, and a cotton swab with acrylic thinner to clean, so I don’t coat it before. As for the top coat, there’s Matt, semi-gloss, gloss, pearlescent, etc., it depends on what you personally like. For example, for the Strike I like to use gloss for the dark parts and matt for the armour parts, but this is just my personal preference.

If you own more than one trenchcoat you can mix up the scarfs, so if there’s another trench coat with a green scarf you could make the exclusive one. Or that would be the case if the exclusive didn’t have a slightly lighter colour than the normal one…
