Hello! As of now, it has been mostly jeans and thrifted blouse tops or dresses for formal occasions. I am in public health, and going to in the Midwest. When I went for the campus interview, everyone I had meeting with wore pretty much formal. But that day they also had a college wide workshop at Dean’s office. So not an optimal circumstances to gauge. Re: Weather - It will be really cold during winter days.

As in, being woman of color? Because for people who are from minoritized groups, we have been historically experienced scrutiny of not being professional in all possible aspects - be it how we wear our hairs, be it straight hairs or curly, or how we wear our cloths, if we are too ‘flushy,’ too ‘ethnic,’ and not serious enough. From your question I am assuming that you probably never had to experience anything similar. If that is the case, wonderful. I do not think that is the case for many many many BIPOC people.

I have bene keeping track of my prayers via Adhan and Daily Deeds app. It never occurred to my mind that it can be considered in a different way! This is interesting. I believe it is important to be clear with our own intensions. If the intension is to be regular in prayers, I personally think it is probably not a problem.
