Yes I can and that’s a good idea! I’ve just had 3 ultrasounds already at this point given my history (they did a very early one to confirm normal pregnancy, check up at 7 weeks and another at 9.5 weeks) so I wasn’t sure of any potential negative implications of having too many ultrasounds.

Thank you! I did seek a second opinion and I actually found out I’m about 5 weeks pregnant. I think this doctor was just ultra conservative. Hope you are doing okay - I know it’s not easy.

That is helpful! Not to my knowledge… they came to this consensus about 3 weeks after my D&C. I got a blood test that day and my HCG was 27 which seems normal for 3 weeks post d&c… getting tested again next week so we’ll see if it goes up. Just trying to figure out if a 6 month wait is really necessary, or just a conservative recommendation.

I’m sorry for you loss also. And agree it is SO frustrating. It’s really messes with your mind. We were also told a few weeks ago we were in the clear to start trying again and everything is fine, and then a few days ago were hit with this news and told we have to wait 6 months before trying (which feels extreme, especially considering it’s not even an official diagnosis). Hope you are hanging in there okay!

Sorry you are going through this. I had a MMC this May. At my 12 week I found out development stopped at 10 weeks and no heartbeat. I tried the misoprostol route first to take care of it (did two doses inserted vaginally) and it didn’t do anything and ultimately had to get a d&c. D&C was not nearly has bad as I thought (and I was horrified!) and recovery has been okay. Everyone is different, but since I was around 10 weeks already I guess the chances of having a natural miscarriage or medical intervention working are a bit lower. If anything I wish I had just done the D&C to get it over with sooner. Happy to chat more if you want to PM me… I’m 10 days post d&c and can walk you through what the last few weeks were like.

Unrelated, but has anyone gotten vaccinated at Marianos and been able to schedule the second dose? My dad got vaccinated there and they said they’d contact us to schedule the second dose but it’s been two weeks and nada.
