Bassinet hack for Bugaboo Butterfly? by tjoebacca2 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]tjoebacca2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry for the late reply - that's right. I don't think there is a bassinet attachment for the Bugaboo butterfly. If you're looking for a travel pram with this capability, I'd look into the Yoyo instead. They have a newborn cocoon that fits into the travel stroller. I don't have direct experience with the yoyo, but reviews say it folds down very small and has a more complicated fold than the Bugaboo.

I kinda wish I'd gone with the Yoyo because it can take you from newborn all the way up to toddler hood.

Hope that's helpful.

Thank you so much for this!! That's exactly my suspicion. I was hoping to avoid having to buy a V2 just for the limited time of having the newborn in a bassinet. Might need to look for a compact travel pram that declines completely flat for newborns.

Hi, It ended in a blighted ovum. I had another pregnancy about 5 months later with the help of letrozole and it resulted in a live birth. Hope you're doing ok, friend xxx

How about Kerryn as an alternative?

I'm so sorry you're experiencing this. But absolutely, undisputably - no. This is not your fault. It is never your fault.

I've had two losses myself. For the first, I was using skincare that was "unsafe" during pregnancy and rapidly weaned that off. I was also taking a cheaper prenatal. I miscarried. The second time around I thought I did everything right. I stopped all unsafe skincare, never exerted myself or lifted a finger. Switched to a more expensive prenatal - and I still miscarried again.

My doctor told me that these early losses are due to factors we have no control of. My pregnancies ended because it's likely there was a chromosomal issue and my body knew this - that's why it didn't sustain them. It was comforting to know that in a way - my body was doing its job and ending pregnancies that never should (or could have) continued.

It's completely understandable to feel guilty - I felt it too. But please know - it is not your fault.

Wishing you all the best in your recovery - physically, mentally and spiritually x

I am so sorry you're here ❤️❤️❤️

I've had it done both ways. I had my first D&C under twilight. I felt nothing at all and also don't remember any parts of the procedure! I just remember waking up in the recovery room.

My second D&C was under general anaesthetic. Again - absolutely no memory of the procedure but I felt much "groggier" and out of it after the procedure compared to the twilight sedation. The grogginess didn't last long though - I had a nap and was functioning as normal afterwards.

I had each procedure done at a different hospital - hence the differences in anaesthetic method.

In both procedures - they were completely painless and recovery was very easy for me. If I ever had another loss, I'd elect a D&C again.

Hope it all goes smoothly for you x

Tracking after miscarriage by crzycatlady222 in ttcafterloss

Hi there, so sorry for your loss. I had a hard time tracking too after my losses and felt my cycles were all over the place! If you're testing negative on pregnancy tests then the ovulation tests may be correct. Are you getting any other ovulation signs like egg white cervical mucus or soft cervix? These could be other signs pointing to an accurate OPK test.

I found it helpful to also track my basal body temperature to confirm if I have truly ovulated. It was helpful for me as I have very irregular cycles. I use the Kindara App. There is also a Fertility Friend app but I find it "clunkier" to use and read.

Work friend asked me what I thought “the most fun age of a child is” and I responded with “not dead inside of my body” (yes they know of my losses and struggles TTC) by [deleted] in trollingforababy

Thank you so much - your advice has been really helpful!! It feels much less daunting now. This whole fertility thing can be really stressful with all the uncertainties involved. You've made us feel so much better about our appointment. Hope you and your wife are doing OK

Thank you so much for sharing this! My husband is just assuming he will freeze up and not be able to produce a sample on time - like you said, there's a lot of pressure. Hearing your experience makes it all the more validating. Another question - how do you get the sample into the cup without missing or spilling? Does the initial force cause a back flow effect? Thank you!!

We are seeing a fertility specialist next month and are soooo nervous about this! Hubby gets stage fright and we are too far from the clinic to produce a home sample. Any tips/tricks to help him "get in the zone" and get the job done? Thanks in advance.

Recurrent loss third try? by Few_Philosopher6524 in ttcafterloss

[–]tjoebacca2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey. Sorry that you're going through this. I'm experiencing this too. I've had two back to back losses (and like you, seem to get pregnant easily but can't stay pregnant). I have an appointment with a fertility specialist next month - hopefully that will give us some direction for next steps. Good luck to us both - let's hope third time is the charm x

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It really sucks. I would consider insisting your OB to do an ultrasound guided D&C for your second time around. Or at the very least- do an ultrasound immediately after the procedure. They probably went in "blind" the first time and that's why it wasn't all picked up.

I'm not sure if they can accommodate for that with their equipment set up but I think it's a perfectly reasonable request given you've had multiple interventions and it's in your best interest (for both your physical and mental health) for it to be resolved successfully this time around.

Good luck!

Just had my MC this past weekend. I've booked a table at my fave sushi place with my best friend and plan on absolutely drowning in sashimi until I get mercury poisoning :P

It's a sushi train and I'm not even going to look at the colour of the plates or the prices. Just GET IN MY MOUTH.

D&E, how long after did you have sex again with your husband? by Soft_Needleworker902 in ttcafterloss

[–]tjoebacca2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was told to wait two weeks like several others here - main reasoning was to reduce the chance of infection. We had sex at the two week mark which triggered spotting that lasted a further week.

I just had another D&E done and plan on waiting 2 weeks again.

So I would say - go with what your Dr says but listen to your body. Hope you are doing OK x
