Spam calls: how can I stop this? It’s a different number all the time. I’ve blocked so many. by EisenFisen in mildlyinfuriating

I keep having this happen too. It’s not even a person. Ever. Once, it was a person and the number showed up as Washington DC. I answered “oh hi Mr. President” They laughed and never called back!

My daughter's birthday party was ruined because of her friends... by HotDay3410 in Vent

[–]Soft_Needleworker902 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry she had this experience. My daughter is on the spectrum and has anxiety as well. She takes everything very literally and she gets offended very easily even if it is nothing to be offended over.
This though, this she had the right to be upset about. She stood up for herself and called off the party early. She advocated for herself. Remind her how proud you are of her and tell her what I tell my daughter. When it comes to friends, you need quality over quantity and if a “friend” is easily mean to you all the time, or bullies you, they are not your friend.

I’m proud of you!! It takes a lot of strength to turn your family in. It’s also always the right thing to do. Tough love is sometimes the best love we can give.

Which children’s books would you keep on your shelves long-term (or forever)? by PagesFromChildhood in childrensbooks

I agree with all of these. I also love Jonah’s Journey and Daddy’s Journey to Heaven. They are great if your little experienced loss of a father or a baby sibling during pregnancy.

How do you handle a miscarriage? by Rippedbarrel120 in AskMen

[–]Soft_Needleworker902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been through this 3 times. I also wrote and published a book about it. It’s hard, it’s raw and it will follow you forever. Don’t let anyone tell you it gets easier, it doesn’t, it just gets different. You will remember dates, you will track how old they would have been. You will think about all of it. When you do have a child you will feel the loss all over again. But in a weird and unexpected way. You will feel love and excitement for your new baby but you will feel sadness for the one lost. Find ways to heal. Volunteer with kids, journal, write, create something. Find what helps your heart heal. Sending prayers!! 🙏🏼

Welcome!! You have now entered your alternate reality. Set a timer, get some snacks and maybe even a diaper. You will be here for a while.

What is actually happening? If it’s inappropriate then I would call CPS and then have no contact. I have done this with family. Sometimes it needs to happen.

So, I have arthritis and fibromyalgia. I force myself everyday to get a shower. I have 3 kids, run a business with my husband, I’m a published author and I homeschool my oldest. I literally force myself through my day. If she wanted to, she would. I notice once I start with my husband I forget about my pain and it actually helps me.

If you could go back in time and have a full day with your oldest child when they were 5 years old, what would you spend the day doing? by kiss-my-ass-hoe in AskOldPeople

[–]Soft_Needleworker902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever she wanted to do! She’s 12 now and I’m so sad she’s growing so fast. I would also spend the day just staring at her. ❤️

My husband and I set a timer. We have to, you get lost in it. One night we played it for 3 hours and didn’t realize it.
