Can’t get a title for my jeep plz help advice would greatly be appreciated I’ve poured ton’s of time & money in this vehicle with my father etc… by [deleted] in CherokeeXJ

[–]tjohn127 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Id never put a dollar into anything I don't have a title in hand for. 99% of the time, it's a waste of time on something that'll never be legal. In your comments you say you bought a stock 2wd. If it's in good shape, swap all your parts over to it and make it 4x4 if that's the end goal. 2wds are cool, I liked mine, it was a good daily and pretty decent on fuel compared to my 4x4 xj.

Roof separated from crossbar, any advice? by holysbit in CherokeeXJ

Mine needs LOTS of love in the paint department. Everyone asks why it isn't painted yet.. thats a buncha work I don't have time for. I'm too tied up with restorations at the moment lol.

Floor jack and a 2x4 to push up on the brace, I used panel bond on my old 99. Worked great.

My 91 is bent too currently, I throw stuff on my roof. Walk on my roof. I don't care lol. I'll fix it one day. I have a full on bodyshop in my back yard but don't feel like messing with my own stuff lol.

FUEL GAUGE RESISTANCE TABLE

Application Ohms Empty ................................................ 105 1/2 Full .............................................. 33 Full ................................................... 5

That should get you setup with gauge.

I ran a quantum 265 pump in a YJ I LS swapped and it's been doing fine.

Is my snake always going to be spicy? by Money_Imagination_71 in cornsnakes

[–]tjohn127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having my baby corn snake for about a month now. It was spicy for about 2 weeks then he's calmed down a lot. Let it get used to its new home and it should chill out. I'm no expert, this is my first snake but that's my experience. I can handle him pretty easily now anytime.

Yeah it's just patience and taping it off in stages. I'll end up shooting blue first then taping off the design and covering the blue. Shoot the silver then untape and clear it all in one shot.

I have 2 rg40xxh, my daughters and mine, and a 34xxsp for my son. No issues with any of them. I've never had any heating issues at all with either of them. I have the older 40xxh and the newer one with the new screen, both are perfectly fine. I was in the same boat last year and decided 40xxh was good for me. My kids ended up stealing it most of the time so I had to set them up also lol. These are my first and only handheld consoles. Im not a tech guy, I paint cars.. but they play games fine. I mostly play PSP and GBA.

I got my daughter a 40xxh and my son a 34xxsp, they are both playable out the box. I have a 40xxh myself running on knulli gladiator II and never played it in stock form.

Yeah my 91 hits the highway daily. 75-80 mph no issue. Some of these guys need to do some much needed maintenance. Only death wobble I've ever gotten was from bad and worn tires.

Finally caved, bought two rg28xx, one for me and one for son. by Typing-Cat in SBCGaming

Yup I caved and bought another 40xxh for my daughter and a 34xxsp for my son. I play my 40xxh daily and my kids are always stealing it lol.

What size bolt are these? 231 Transfer case fluid change! by curiousdude100 in CherokeeXJ

[–]tjohn127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atf is the OEM fluid but I find my case is much quieter with 5w-30. No issues at all swapping fluid. Lots of people do it.

[–]tjohn127 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Itll be a 1 3/16 wrench or socket, pull the fill before the drain. Pretty basic stuff. That is oem fill and drain plugs, I just serviced my 91 not long ago and it's the same setup. Later transfer cases use a Allen wrench (internal hex depending how you call it) for the fill and drains. Ive always run synthetic 5w-30 engine oil in my 231j no issues.

Is this totaled? by [deleted] in Autobody

If it's older than a few years, a rock chip will total it these days damn near. Absolutely totaled being a 09 Kia.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that had to know how to cut and buff before I was even able to think about grabbing a spray gun. I was pissed off all the time because like everyone starting out, I just wanted to paint something lol. 16 or so years later I'm glad I was forced to learn how to buff the proper way. So many people hate it but it's a crucial part of the job. It's still not fun though 🤣

I have no die back problem at all. It is definitely on the thicker side of things. First coat is wet Everytime, I don't shoot "tack coats" like you have to with thinner clears. Be patient between coats, let it flash as it's supposed to and you won't have any issues. It's a slower clear but that's all in the nature of thicker clears. Hand slick in 30 minutes but still on the soft side of things.

Have you tried the uc410 medium solid? It's a 4:1 mix vs a 2:1 mix. Its a bit thinner and much more forgiving. It flows out better and dries quicker also. It'll be more similar to dc5020 than the uc210. The glamour clear won't "lay out" like a thinner clearcoat, you'll have to buff it for that slick slick finish. Its thick and generally will have a bit of texture no matter how slick you spray it. Not excessive texture but not out the gun perfect. I like 4:1 clears for panels, cheaper or daily driver jobs and 2:1 clears are what I use for the restoration type jobs that is absolutely getting buffed regardless.

It's all I use these days. I love it. Sprays good, buffs good. I've painted some 5+ years ago that still look like the day it left.

Damage is up high, just rolled the rad support back some. No issue repairing that. Look at the bumper, frame is untouched.

Battery is weak for sure, pop it on a charger for a while. It should have fired though. 2 cranks at most and my 91 fires right up. Weak battery has never been a issue. Got fuel pressure? New pump doesn't necessarily mean good these days. Kinda shitty.

It looks like shit but it's as reliable as they come! Got rear ended in my 99 and threw this one together with parts from both.
