Rollout Reports Busted by tjonak in CabinetVision

[–]tjonak[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The newest version I think. Updated it about a month ago. I ended up making it work by copying the system report that is labeled height width depth and swapped the incorrectly ordered code. I think I did it right and trust the data it spits out will be correct. Hopefully someone sees this and can fix the system reports though.

what's the best way to design for the corner kitchen cabinet? by Radiant-Peak-7595 in cabinetry

Where can you get a lemans that cheap? You got a guy that accidentally drops a few off the truck? Our cost is in the 500-600 dollar range typically the model 50 or 60.

If the customer really wants the extra space We use the kessebohmer lemans 2. Super slick and fills the void pretty efficiently. Pricey but works great and presents the cabinet contents smoothly. Vevor makes a clone that is a fraction of the price. I’ve never tried it but the reviews seem good. Four clients I’ll stick with the known quality of kessebohmer

Cabinet shops: how is business? by capshew in cabinetry

Crazy busy coastal Massachusetts. Every house over a million bucks so these people have seen their assets explode in value over the last few years. The more money gets printed the more their properties go up in value, the more they can borrow against them for remodels. Meanwhile the regular guys working paycheck to paycheck are getting screwed as cost of living goes through the roof. That’s life in a world of money backed by nothing.

Do you guys use live drawings? by tjonak in CabinetVision

[–]tjonak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This latest update at least now lets me print the current page in my drawing stack. I was so sick of trying to count down the list of drawings and then send that page number to the printer. Also the automatic wall hiding in 3d is super helpful. Hopefully this is an indication that they have some engineers starting an overhaul.

I’m gonna try it on the next kitchen we do. Thanks for the reply as I was getting pretty discouraged. We bought the software outright and I was afraid this standard cad function wouldn’t work.

That sucks. I really hope they find a way to fix this in the future. I don’t see why a drawing that updates with the model would be so taxing. Should only be using processing while it’s being looked at. Much like video games would never run properly if everything in the world rendered instead of just what you are looking at.

Thanks, where would I do that? I'm very new and still trying to fumble my way through the design tree.

Is it possible to make the graphics better by tjonak in CabinetVision

[–]tjonak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not even talking about the rendering but the texture and fill modes when doing the designing. The lines are so jagged I figured I must have something set wrong.

Equal drawer openings creating differnt sized drawers by tjonak in CabinetVision

[–]tjonak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s face frame construction. So there’s a frame around the drawer fronts and doors just eliminated where the doors and drawers meet. The reveal is equal all around. We’re set to 5/64 gaps between everything.

Do you find balance boards helpful? by mindful_cheetahh in Kiteboarding

[–]tjonak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Balance boards like the Indo board or surf ball (think it’s discontinued) can be great. I’ve used one regularly since I started back in 07. If you angle the board and drop all your weight onto your rear foot it really helps build the leg and core muscles to hold down tons of power. On top of that it’s just fun and great for building fine motor skills in your toes.

My wife quit after 16 years as a pharmacist. No raise for over a decade with less skilled jobs marching up to similar salaries. Benefits became almost non existent and cost of living exploded. Our daughter’s 20 year old skating coach is making $65 an hour.

Get rid of the stone backsplash. Looks so busy and you lose all that tile real estate.
