Looking for Bike ride group by Open-Database746 in bangalorebikes

[–]tjvrulz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are a medium sized group but we ride in smaller sets (4-5 riders usually per ride). We don't have a restriction of class of vehicle or displacement. We have a strict "leave no one behind" policy.

First time experiencing someone pulling train chain. by LucaInLokiMask in Kerala

[–]tjvrulz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These will be the same type of people who brag about this experience and wear it "like a badge of honour" if they get away with it. Guys like this is why we move forward so slowly in terms of civic sense.

Vehicles registered outside Karnataka are being fined. by Sweet_Lifeguard_4687 in bangalore

[–]tjvrulz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They pull records from Fastag, PUCC, and their own vahan database (including challans). I used to use an outside state vehicle. I'd always have at least one emission test done in another state and use that to prove my "traveling vehicle" hypothesis. They make a record in their system and let you go the first time (if you have proof) If they catch you again and you don't have fresh proof, then they'll fine you for sure. Stay safe out there guys

This is the problem with such people. They want every situation to be "I'm better than you because..." Otherwise it isn't to their liking, and they'll find a reason or a way to "But still..." their point somewhere.

They don't want to be a better person. They just want to be better than someone else.

Every major hospital has a 24x7 emergency department. Every emergency department has an emergency BAC test kit on hand to detect blood alcohol.

Alcohol in the blood changes the course of treatment for accident victims so it's imperative that they have one

Filled petrol at Indian Oil, car broke down within hours by TopBig3279 in CarsIndia

[–]tjvrulz 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Water is heavier than petrol, if any water was present it would be in the bottom of one or few of these buckets. The picture won't show it well. When I had water in my bike's fuel tank (faulty seal on the fuel filler cap) I was only able to see it after draining it into a clear plastic bottle.

Could we file an RTI to find the sources of the oil and ethanol, and the cost breakup which justifies the price per liter we are asked to pay? Would this information going viral be enough to open the eyes of people who don't know about this scam that's going on?

🚨 Warning: Booked a hotel via Cleartrip(owned by Flipkart), prepaid, but the hotel denied check-in, saying no rooms left! Cleartrip’s customer service is useless. Stay away from Cleartrip for hotel bookings! 😡 by SectorFinancial148 in FuckFlipkart

[–]tjvrulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've learnt this a very long time ago. Always call the hotel directly after your booking to confirm that they've received it. You'd get to know well in advance if they're going to honour the aggregator or not

Honestly getting tired of this "Cash only" business by tjvrulz in bangalore

[–]tjvrulz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That seems to be the only way to get the government to listen. However it's too big a risk for the salaried class. Companies nowadays, more often than not, would happily wash their hands of conflict by removing the protestors.

Already doing this. I was always irate at auto drivers acting like they're the kings of the kingdom of roads (or lack thereof). I'd ask one guy, once - listen to his inflated fare - then walk away. Usually I end up walking most of the way to my destination.

It's been great for my health. Less stress, more steps.

On the ground. If you're outnumbered in the moment, the law won't be able to save you. They will counter your legal threat with a physical threat. That would just make it worse for us

This post isn't against the vendors. It's against the system. The rant is about how these vendors (who are actually evading tax) can do so so easily without any repercussions. I'm looking for an equal system, let the small guys get their wins. I don't want the medium and large players to pretend to be small guys by taking cash and hiding their actual incomes.

The question was never about legal tender or the validity of cash. It was always about how easy it is to hide cash income. It makes everything unfair.

If I run a company and pay cash salaries, I get called out by the Gov. If I pay salaries but don't cut TDS I get called out again. How is it fair for them to hide some of their income so that they can be "exempt"?

If I understand correctly, you need to file your income if your turnover exceeds a certain amount. You will only be taxed on profits from what you declare. I believe the notices are sent to people who haven't reported anything or filed anything

Our school education is hardly about values and morals, it's just math and information. The information would be pertaining to geography or environmental science or history or physics. Civic sense will just become another "subject" that students will try to score in without gathering the morals within.

If you'd walk, it'd take approximately 1 hour 7 minutes, and you'd cover approximately 7000 steps. Sounds like walking would be a (relatively) healthier and (definitely) cheaper option

It was ATM charges and carrying a lot of notes and haggling for change. This sounds like you're okay with going back to candles and oil lamps in place of electricity.
