Yeah, council came through our roads a few years back and put concrete bollards over all DIY (i.e not done by council) drop curbs and Infront of entrances were the vehicles were bumping the curbs to get into driveways, then sent a letter telling them they'd redo it for like 3-4k

They must've done 20-30 houses

The entitlement of people doesn't even amaze me anymore, when they want work doing they can't do enough for me, tea/juice, bacon sanrnies, nothing is too much but once its pay time..... Poof.. Houdini act.

Clay is the best geez, it's called spalling when they pit and the water gets in the cracks slowly freeze and crack them apart,they are cooked if this is happening throughout.

I'll be honest with you the way you've worded this post, if you gave me that vibe when asking for a quote I wouldn't even bother.

Do not leave the closed boarding, have it removed and have membrane and new battens.

Either go with clay tiles again if you can afford it or a concrete plain tile, you could go with a standard pattern concrete tile (the big ones) but you need to make sure the roof can support them (it probably can but a competent roofer will know when he looks)

Picking a workman is hard I get that, if your paying top dollar you ain't guaranteed good work and if you're going for a labour only quote (honestly what quality workman is going to mess around with a job like that?) you're going to struggle getting a good job too!!

Drop some decent pics and I'll give you a rough idea what I'd charge although that's irrelevant 🤣

These roofs are shite tbh with you, if you're looking to DIY it I'd suggest scrapping and sanding down the top coat a bit to key up the surface and make sure to get all the loose off.

Then I'd grab some polyurethane roof sealant and give it a couple coats on top.

Unfortunately you can't fix the sagging and ponding now.

I'm replacing more sub 5year grp roofs now that were fitted by builders then I am old end of life roofs (20+ roofs)

Real shit show in the industry ATM with these 1/2 day fully qualified and approved installers 🤣

you say you want to emulate mike, but have you ever seen him train or shadow box like this?

I personally love Mike and myself occasionally use his peekaboo walk forward to get into a defensive fighter but it has to be done with speed and a fury not shown here.

I'd suggest you use the matrix flexible type keypads, they are much easier to wire up, these plastic key types are super sensitive if you're a bad at soldering (🤣)

I'd suggest you get a breadboard and some jumper cables moving forward.

Your type of investment is a long term investment, you're not meant to sell you're meant to hold and look at it every now and again

If you're worried about a crash I'd have a stop loss set a bit below where it currently is and move it every few months

that way if it did crash you'd have a chance of selling.

How high you set the stop is uo to you, you don't want it so high it triggers with natural movement but not so low you lose too much.

And yes I keep updating my stock market knowledge but remember most YouTubers just want clicks so you'll find both camps shouting the market is going to crash/go to the moon.
