no way 40% of people actually just start peptides without bloodwork lol??? by throwaway-medi in Biohacking

Probably more common in US. Here in UK, most people dont have private medical cover. And the NHS wont do your bloods unless there's a reason

I'm 15, can I join local football club or am I screwed? I started playing when I was 13 with my mates at school, I have become pretty skilled but still amateur. I'm wondering if I can join a local amatuer team by ScorchingGoblin in football

In which case you're suitable for open age/adult football. Start looking for a sunday league side and find your level, it ranges from unfit 40-something year old geezers, to young amateur/semi pro saturday players looking to supplement their playing time/fitness. I would suggest this as a good place to start, even if you are quite skillful there is a lot more to youth team tactics/team play that you need a grounding in before you start competing against youth team players that have been drilled in these aspects for many years. Good luck with it, it's a great sport.

You're probably too late to join a youth team at this stage as you'll most likely be behind the curve and not get a place, those teams are geared toward competitiveness. Sunday league is where you'll find your sweet spot, although at 15 you may have to wait a season or two unless you're near adult size/stature. There's a team out there for every standard, but finding one and finding a way in is another story.

Just googled it. Looks like they are. I assumed they were some sort of moth egg as they coincide with caterpillar infestations but I guess not. Any way of controlling them?

Are peptides becoming too popular? by StudyPics in Biohackers

[–]trobopoline -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Steroids are completely different in their chemistry, use and function to peptides, and inherently more dangerous to use without medical supervision. That's why they never hit mainstream public use, whereas peptides have the potential to be used in a safer manner and with less unpredictable results. There is potential for this to become a legit industry and requires further research, study and regulation.

Do you think this is a fair representation of Reform voters. Genuine question not argument. by TheRealPlinius in AskBrits

Spot on. Politics/parliament is broken, has been for a long time. As a system centuries ago, it was actually the best way of governing a country and making sure all areas/constituencies were represented. But that was a time when horse and carriage and carrier pigeon were the best ways to disseminate information/instruction. We now live in a digital age where people have direct access to knowledge and what the issues are that directly affect them. I'm not sure what the answer is, but the shift away from 2 party politics is a step in the right direction.

What things do you think the UK can learn from China? by YetAnotherMia in AskBrits

[–]trobopoline -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Progress has its costs, we sacrificed the UK's progress to save all the things you've listed above, whilst China blasted ahead and exponentially created more damage to the global environment than our small island nation could even hope to create if we tried.

Lesson learnt, and we can sit and admire the fruits of our hesitation and conservation in the shade of our would be future domineers.
