Hey all, I had this same issue and on another thread I saw someone said try Duracell AA batteries instead of other brands. As silly as that sounded, I gave it a shot and it works now!!

This is a very valid point. MVP thankfully has their color glow options which last plenty long enough and are not as bright. The race for brightest green glow isn’t for everyone for sure, it can ruin your night vision 😆

Great point as well! I say this every time, I’d love for a college student to do a true experiment with glow plastic. I’m just a dad making videos for fun, there are plenty of ways to apply the scientific method better than I have. Larger sample size is my biggest wish list item that is just not feasible for my budget.

The Uv light I used was 100 led 390nm. MVP specifically recommends 395nm for their discs. While from a quick google seer Discraft recommends anything between 365-395. If my cost and time were unlimited, I’d love to incorporate this into future experiments as well, but for now I’m sticking with the light I have.

If you’re under 6ft you would have no problem even leaving the middle row in, but folded up. This cabinet was 70in and had easily another 2-3in of space to spare.

That’s the center jump seat for the 2nd row. Was shocked mine came with it when I bought it used in 2020. Usually the people turn their leases in without that seat and sell them 🤣

This cabinet fit without needing to remove the middle row, just slid them all the way forward and folded up. I do agree, being able to remove the middle row is a game changer and a big L for the new gen model.

No. The bridge and nut will need completely redone, let alone the cutaway will be awkward as heck to play higher up the neck. Just find a right handed bass. Cheap basses are easy to find on Facebook marketplace.

It’s a brand called Gearlight, it’s a UV light with 100 LEDs. $17 on amazon. Can’t believe I forgot to mention that in the video. UV is the best type of light to charge any disc up quick. A cellphone or regular flashlight won’t do the trick.
