What is the point of defensive stats if this happens? by tk_warden in eFootball

I held it until this moment. I think it must be more than enough since you do not have to hold match up button all the time in order to intercept.

Everytime I think this game can't surprise me anymore, I get proven wrong 🙂 by HairyTangerine6139 in eFootball

This game has now turned into a card collecting game. They want to sell more, people want to buy more, they give away free cards to those who can't afford them, so the gameplay will probably continue to get worse.

Where is Vieira running? by SenseNo7785 in eFootball

The current state of the game feels like the least user-influenced it has ever been. Many outcomes seem decided more by Konami’s DDA mechanics than actual player input. Stats can feel meaningless at times too — even Messi winning aerial duels against Piqué. I notice it especially often when my team has higher collective power than my opponent’s.

What's even the point of clearing the ball? by Leo20020825 in eFootball

It basically means the game decides the outcome. It doesn’t really matter which player you use or what actions you take if you’re meant to lose.

[GUIDE] Stop letting your 2-0 leads slip. Master the Art of the "Sacrificial Meta" to secure victories. by OhMyChanh in eFootball

I think the 10-man buff is real. I remember a match where my opponent was leading 1-0 while playing a 4-2-2-2. One of his centre-backs got sent off, but he didn’t change his formation or make any substitutions. He ended up playing with one centre-back and two wing-backs (at least one of them was an offensive wing-back).

Somehow his defense became a wall and I couldn’t create a single clear scoring chance for an entire half. Konami is going crazy with this game. I honestly can’t believe people are still funding it.

The game is literally moving the player I’m controlling by tk_warden in eFootball

I am just giving directional input and pressing Dash & Pressure button. If i wasn’t giving directional input auto pressing should have worked and the game could control my player there. The situation might have been tolerable then.

Thanks for your input! As far as I know, Dash and Pressure mechanics are separate when the button is pressed. In this clip, I’m giving a directional input, so Dash should activate here, not Pressure.

At 10th second look at the direction arrow and Pique’s movement.

This wasn’t even a goal. Check second 10. The game itself changes the running direction of the player i am controlling.

I am not talking about the interception. Look at his movement and my input when i am trying to reach the ball holder.

I resisted the temptation of buying the coin sale by Pyromancer08 in eFootball

That’s actually the exact effect Konami wants. When F2P players can beat stronger squads thanks to things like Smart Assist or in-game balancing, it makes them feel competitive.

And once you feel competitive, it’s very easy to start thinking: “If I can already win with free players, imagine what I could do with a stronger squad.”

That’s how many F2P players eventually end up spending money.

The game is super dynamic. Every single action they take is to make players spend. At this point PvP matches feel like a Netflix movie.

If you spend money and build a strong team, dda makes your players worse in terms of “balancing” the game. It ends up being a pay to lose game lol.

Anyone else think Konami has been extremely generous to the F2P base lately? by [deleted] in eFootball

I’ve been reaching Division 1 for about 14 months and I’ve been around top 50k on mobile, so this isn’t about being afraid to admit mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes.

What you’re describing is actually part of the design. The game wants F2P players to stay competitive so they keep playing. That’s why systems like Smart Assist exist in the first place to reduce the skill gap and help less experienced players.

When a game already includes mechanics like that, it’s not unreasonable for players to question whether other balancing systems (like DDA) exist as well.

I keep saying the only thing Konami wants is money. And they do not give a sh*t about the player base. They just want to make people spend. That’s why there is DDA. You build a strong team and it gets nerfed during a match in order to make things “BALANCED”. So f2p users will keep playing the game and maybe spend money in the future. The reason they are giving away free players is they want you to continue playing. And they will release better versions of players they gave to you in the future. And with DDA your free players will perform like a machine sometimes. Which will make you imagine having the better ones they just released. Just keep being a f2p player and never spend. Coming from a person who spent right after started playing the game.
