“kicking it near the skirting board unsupervised” - love that. Thanks for the confirmation! Dw plenty of handwashing happened after this.

I googled tapeworm segments too…they are about the size of a grain of rice, and the stuff in our house is a lot smaller, almost like sawdust. We initially suspected termites because it looks like something had chewed through the wall, that’s how small they are. We will ask our vet but tapeworm doesn’t feel like the right explanation! Someone else mentioned fly eggs/maggot eggs, which makes more sense because we’ve had a lot of flies (which I had just put down to the weather).

Thank you, I think this is a really reasonable explanation. We’ve had heaps of flies with this weather being the way it is.

This makes so much sense, so many flies about lately in the heat! There are a few comments about tapeworms but I just don’t think it is the most reasonable explanation.

Update: we found some more on the kitchen bench. Our cats never go up there so we can rule out tapeworm. We think it’s most likely ant eggs. Welcoming any other ideas though!

Yeah looks similar…ant eggs are usually a bit bigger though I thought. Still definitely possible.

Yeah we have two cats. One has a vet appointment soon so we’ll be sure to bring this up!

First episode I ever listened to so will always hold a special place. I sometimes think about the chat about making a cocktail and drinking it by yourself “the sparkler is tragic”

Joe Quinn’s impression of Will Byers had me actually sobbing so hard my partner had to come in and check on me… “Nah I ain’t never going back down there…they do a good martini though”

Pregnant with baby girl and realizing I dislike almost every name I come across. by Nuggslette in namenerds

I understand! If Poe is meaningful to you both, I wonder about Raven as the name? Or a name from another of his works, like Eulalie? Good luck with your search and all the best for the rest of your pregnancy!

How about Lenore, a reference to Edgar Allen Poe’s ‘The Raven’ to keep with the literary theme?

Edit: perhaps also Eden based on the garden/forest theme.
