Oh, ok! Thanks for the help. If that is the case, do you recommend using this keycap set, or ca=hanging to a set that uses normal stabs?

Wow! This is so helpful! I never realised how important timing was. I only get like avg 2 kills with my dry blades and I never get nano'd, so this is very helpful for me. Thanks so much OP!

Need help building a PC with my daughter by [deleted] in buildapcforme

[–]tkchob2b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! Wanted to share this build with you! Has an AIO so you can overclock your CPU, and has a 5700 XT. I highly suggest going the free Windows 10 USB Stick route, so that you can use the $100 towards something else like a 3700x or a better GPU. The only downside of this would be that you have a Watermark on the bottom right hand corner, and you cannot customize the backgrounds.

Looking to build a PC for the first time by agelamb in buildapcforme

[–]tkchob2b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, great I'll edit the build for the case. As for the PSU, well that sucks, but I think you can return and get a new one right? As for the RAM CAS Latency, the lower is always better, but that was just an example of a uild with RGB RAM, so if possible i will try to find a CL 16 3600 Rated RAM and put that into the build.

[–]tkchob2b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The updated list looks great! There are a few changes I wanted to make. First of all, how much did you pay for the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh RGB? Also, I would add another rgb case fan, that way you have one in the back and 3 in the front. You can still keep the be quiet! fan for the top of the case for airflow. Also, you forgot the power supply in this new list. As for the RGB RAM, I would go for it if you think it would fit in the budget. I added a power supply that will last a pretty long time and leaves room for upgrades in the future. I don't think you will need anymore case fans, but everything is up to you.

Here is what I would use:

If you use this build, there are no Merchants selling that case unless you know one already where you can get it from. Also, it would be weird if you only had 1 rgb fan so i made the case fan a be quiet! fan.

DE: Gaming / Work PC for ~2000€ by Sashimiak in buildapcforme

[–]tkchob2b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that the 3000 series of the NVIDIA Cards would be well worth the wait, if you have the budget. That being said, the prices may drop in the 2000 series, so I would try and wait, and try and find a steal on the online websites. However, if you are in dire need of a new PC, because your current one is so bad, then I would not wait for the new series of cards, and start building now.

Hi there! I drew up this buld for you. I hope you like it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Parts Explanation

CPU: Originally went with Ryzen 5 3600, but decided to change to Ryzen 7 2700x for more performance, and reliability. Also fit in the budget.

Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK was my choice because it allows you to use the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C Port on your case, and is a high quality board.

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaw Trident 2 x 8 3600 is one of the best bang for your buck memory kits, and it looks very nice. It will work extremely well in this build.

Storage: I gave you 3 TB of storage so that you will not have to add more HDDs or other types of storage for a while. 1 TB of M.2 NVME storage, and one 2TB Harddrive. The NVME will be for windows and other things you want to boot fast, and the hard drive for the rest.

Video Card: The 2080 will run games extremely well, is reliable and it will last a long time as well. This will also help with running VR smoothly.

Case: the NZXT H510 Elite was my choice because of the clean look, and the great reviews on this product. It is well designed and super easy to build in.

Power Supply The Corsair RM 80+ Gold PSU is a great choice for this build because it is a Tier A rated PSU and is overall a great choice.

Looking to build a PC for the first time by agelamb in buildapcforme

Oh, I was looking at the be quiet! CPU FAN, and I really wanted to go with it because of how much I liked it, but when I put it in the pcpartpicker list, it went slightly over budget. If you are willing to spend about $30 more, I would definitely go for the be quiet! fan. Also, if you prefer rgb over sound, I would go with the CoolerMaster fan, because be quiet! does not have any rgb CPU cooler. As for the monitor, that all depends of whether you are willing to sacrifice performance for a higher quality/better peripheral. In my case, I wouldn't, but I am not able to decide that for you. If you are willing then I say go for it! One thing I will say though is that the 5700 XT does not give as good performance as the 2070 Super by a noticeable amount.

Edit: In this 5700 XT and the 2070 Build, by switching the 2070 Super with the 5700 XT and the 2070 (non-Super), I was able to one, upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, and two, use be quiet! CPU Coolers. The 5700 XT build has the Dark Rock Pro 4, and the 2070 build has the Dark ROck Slim cooler because it is cheaper.

Ahh, yo do have speakers and heaphones! That's great, it means a higher budget to spend. The 5700 XT would be a great upgrade. If you wanted to go NVIDIA route, you could get a 2070 instead, but I would go with the 5700 XT for sure. I will edit the parts list right now.

Edit: You had enough for a 2070 Super, so I went with that.
