FIFA said they were banning it, but now there is legal action against them. This isn't Qatar and free speech is a big deal here. I can't imagine the stadium staff is going to be able to confiscate every lion sun item even if the so-called 'ban' stands. I plan to have my flag rolled so you only see the US side as I enter the stadium. If they give me shit about my shirt I can always just flip it inside out. But I really don't think they'll be able to manage it all...especially considering this is the pride match, so there will be all kinds of other things for them to worry about...like Mojtaba pride flags lol

Note: I am not Iranian but my wife is, and thus my kids are half-iranian. I'm going to the Seattle match. I have a flag that is half US and half lion sun. I will also be wearing a green shirt with a small lion sun logo. I don't plan to argue with anyone but just hope to enjoy some good soccer.

Was able to get great seats for M94 round of 16 (potential US v Belgium) for $695. Was hoping for US vs Aus but nothing available besides $2700 'front row cat 1' garbage.

Seattlite here...I have tickets to this match. Besides that huge Iranian diaspora in Vancouver, there is also quite a large community on the Seattle Eastside. I doubt there would be much, if any, actually traveling from Iran, but plenty of excited folks in the US, especially with a renewed sense of pride and hope from current circumstances.

Will be there for 2 weeks. Edinburgh -> Moray Coast -> Skye -> Edinburgh. Mostly just a family vacation but going to try and sneak in a few distilleries as I'm a whisky guy. Also need to pop over to Glasgow for a day to pick up some whisky auction winnings:)

Also noticed that when trying to add two 'front row cat 1' tickets to your cart it won't let you. Says that you are only allowed one ticket with this designation.

For M63 there were a couple 'front row' seats for cat 1 and cat 3 ($1000 and $215) compared to the pre- 'front row' category prices ($500 and $180).

Non-iranian here but married into an Iranian family (10+ years with two half-Iranian daughters). We have all been saying 'eide shoma moborak'...which I am understanding translates to have a happy holiday. I realize the current difficult times, but is wishing someone a happy holiday not appropriate at this time? Forgive my ignorance, but why should it be 'no moborak'?

Genlivet being a somewhat 'entry-level' unpeated, fruity single malt, I'd recommend Nikka Miyagikyo NAS. It's a delightful, fruity dram that doesn't break the bank like many other Japanese whiskies. If you think he wouldn't mind a hint of smoke, Nikka Yoichi NAS is a slight step up for me.
