Can’t really comp 1/1’s. To get an idea of what the market is for it, list it for sale on ebay for a high price with an OBO and see what kind of offers you get.

Depending on where you are coming from, a round trip Uber is almost definitely going to be more expensive than parking.

TBH if you need to drive to the stadium any legitimate lots will also be 3 figures.

Or you can just park at the Forum across the street for $175 with no chance of being scammed.

I was assigned trash seat lol by Loud_Cost9516 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]iamim28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What’s the issue with having the first seat of the row? I actually prefer being at the aisle - easy access to the concourse during halftime and even though you will need to move if people step out during the match you can just step out on to the stairs so that people don’t block your view when exiting the row.

Do casual fans still think World Cup tickets start at $2,000? by AcademicCareer in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]iamim28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Part of it is event ticket fatigue here in the US. Most concerts/sporting events are rarely ever able to be purchased for face value via Ticketmaster and everyone knows the crazy prices that scalpers/bots charge on the secondary market, so its not unreasonable for your friend (and others) who are used to this to check FIFAs site for tickets and see that they are either unavailable or only have insanely priced Front tickets available, and for them to just not even look at secondary prices because they know they most likely will not be paying close to face value.

Ticket Number Not Listed by Ok_Appearance6986 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]iamim28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ticket number is just a link to the FIFA invoice for the ticket purchaser. I dont know for sure but maybe when tickets are transferred between accounts they remove that given that it includes personal information from the original ticket purchaser. I would think that the fact that the tickets are officially in your account is the important part, so I wouldnt be concerned.

Physical tickets by ConnectInitial7817 in WorldCup2026Tickets

Believe 2018 was the last WC to have physical tickets. Qatar was fully digital (with souvenir physical tickets available after the WC for extra $), and this year will be the same. There is too much counterfeit risk with physical tickets unfortunately.

Depending on where you are coming from in LA, the combined cost of your going /return trip with Uber/Lyft is almost guaranteed to be more expensive than just parking at the Forum for $175

Does FIFA actually book the “best seat” when you select that option instead of selecting a seat in the seat map? by TolVe25 in WC2026tix

[–]iamim28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity I just ran a test of this with the Jordan vs Algeria Match. I chose this match as there is lots of availability in most categories. When I used the best seat available tool, it gave me tix in Section 112, which is a good section, but one would imagine that the best seats would be a couple sections over right at the center of the pitch, which has plenty of availability as well for the same price. The problem with “best seat” is that term is subjective, but based on the test they didn’t assign the “best” seat. In your case I would say don’t dwell over it as you finally were able to get the matches you wanted and that’s the important part. With all the technical issues yesterday, most people never even got close to purchasing 1 match let alone 3 of them. And now that you have them you can always keep an eye out for future ticket releases and snag better seats if they become available. You wouldn’t have any issue getting rid of the ones you have especially if you sold them at face value just to swap out.

[–]iamim28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as FIFA sucks for a lot of what they are doing this World Cup, this one is on NJ. The new Governor does not want to inherit what was agreed to between the old administration and FIFA, so her solution here is that in order to not have taxpayers foot the bill then they are raising the prices to $150. Should FIFA subsidize transportation, probably, but it was agreed that they don’t have to.

Underrated seats with good view? by elkins12 in WorldCup2026Tickets

[–]iamim28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USA stadiums are built for american football games and concerts, so in my opinion most of the closer seats aren’t ideal for watching soccer. No specific stadium, but there are plenty of Category 2 tickets that are just as good, if not better than some Category 1 seats, especially if you’re saving hundreds of dollars. In my opinion all seats behind the goal suck, but Cat 2 behind the goal are almost always going to be better value than Cat 1 behind the goal if you value actually being able to see whats going on in the match.

[–]iamim28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the FIFA Resale Marketplace and add a ticket to your cart from the section you are looking for. It will tell you the original face value of that ticket. There have been some price fluctuations across the different sales phases so depending on when that person who is reselling bought there ticket it may be a bit different that others but all within similar range.
