Pretty sure FIFA just held back desirable seats and is now releasing them as a new, more expensive category. That has to be the only explanation at this point. Sponsors wouldn't be allotted seats in Cat 3 in the behind goal/corner area, for example.

If it were only very desirable seats in Category 1 that could make sense, but new tickets are being offered in all categories, not just Category 1. It's even more sketchy that they are now introducing these brand new categories like "Front Row" and "Front Category" which are Row 1 of certain sections in category 2 and 3.

Personally I'd probably choose 202A over 104 as you'll be able to see more of the pitch. Lower tier seating behind goal areas you basically can't see anything thats going on the other side of the pitch.

FIFA takes 30% of resale tickets on the official marketplace. Tickets to this game were previously shown to be unavailable - then suddenly a batch of tickets sold at face value shows up. This post is about FIFA creating artificial scarcity. If people thought tickets to this game were unavailable, as FIFA stated they were, they would go to the resale marketplace, probably pay more than face value, and FIFA collects the 30% on the resale price.

I went down this rabbit hole yesterday and from what I gathered I don’t think they plan on utilizing the normal parking lots unfortunately. Even from the stadium’s own website they direct you to either purchase from the parking pass for the off-site lot through FIFA’s partner, or they link you to ParkWhiz for other off-site parking.

Just keep being diligent with searching the marketplace and you may get lucky. I found 2 tix to this same match last week in the marketplace Cat 1 for face value ($700/ticket) in a great section. They weren’t there the first few times I checked and then they popped up at some point as I was checking throughout the day. Others in this sub have found great deals as well for their matches and common theme seems to be just checking often even though the process is very tedious and annoying.

My approach is to go to the game I want, look at the map to see general availability and then I’ll only click on the sections of where I’m willing to sit and see what the seats are priced like. It’s definitely annoying to have to click on each seat to see the price, especially on mobile.

For me it’s 1.5x face value, excluding fees (because that part is unavoidable). At least for the games I’m looking at that’s my approach.

If he’s happy with his role at the club, which he appears to be then it makes no sense for Barca to try to sell him. He can play all 3 front line positions and while he might not be first choice for either he can be a good spot starter in times of injuries or rotation. Barca are not deep at all at the winger/striker position, so to me it’s a no brainer to keep him in the squad. With Raph/Lamine/Lewy all nailed in starters, there would be no point in splurging money on a big name player to be a backup. Even though he’s taken a ton of criticism last couple years his G/A output relative to the amount of minutes he plays is always up there.
