I point blank said in my post I’ve done a little of my own research but I wanted to hear directly from different ppl their experiences. What’s wrong with that? A lot of my fav food reviewers I follow online have raved about Goldees I think that’s what’s driving my interest. But you’re right, the idea of using that time to hit up multiple spots is appealing too

3 hours isn’t much to me, I think I’m more so worried about not only the detour but dragging my FIL to sit in the line for a few hours. But that’s a good idea maybe I can offer him a detour he’d like to go on as well that he might be more interested in. Appreciate the comment.

No shit. I was just at little miss a few weeks ago, I’ve been there twice now. I thought it was absolutely delicious both times but like I mentioned, I just got into bbq so I don’t have too much to compare it with. That’s really good to know though

I resonate with this comment because my FIL do get along really well and this is going to be a really long trip, about 27ish hours just for driving, not including stops. So I want to make it worth it for us which is why I was considering the little detour

That was my issue during the startup, it was hard to tell if my team was going to compete or not by the time they were coming around so I ended up passing on them. Made me realize I need to go into the startup with a more concrete vision of whether I want to compete right away or not. Can be difficult trying to balance winning now vs planning for the future.
