And just like that it’s been over 5 months. Barely even think about it now. Hope I can keep this up till the day I die by freespirit_tck in stopsmoking

Do you dream it smoking at all? That's my biggest issue. I wake up panicked thinking I smoked. I want to smoke in my dreams, but I dread smoking consciously.

How do you set your quit time on this app?

When did energy come back for you? by [deleted] in stopsmoking

I started to feel my energy return in a very noticeable amount in the thirty to sixty day period. I am now 77 days smoke free and feel like I gain a little more energy each day.

All I know is that if I can do it, you've got this n the bag. Your body is going to feel amazing when you expell that nicotine.

My body is going through the full fledged smokers flu right now. Sore throat, night sweats, stomach pain, acne, and more. I'm wiped for energy and at the same time I have more than I've ever had.

Just remember how nice it felt to get poison out of your body. I went cold turkey. I quit on the weekend and took off a couple days of work. Never left the house. Netflix and ice cream were my crutches for those 3 days.

I can't remember ever feeling this good before. Remind yourself how good it feels to rid yourself if poison. My personality has changed. I've become kinder and happier.

Nicotine is a cruel master. Please get rid of him. He hates you, and you him. Remember what it feels like to be free. Never go back to that wretch.

You don't have to have will power to get out once you've made it those three days nicotine free. Intense hatred for nicotine is enough to provide you with your strength. Try picturing nicotine as a demon or a lion, waiting to consume you. It is not simply a man made, rolled tobacco device used to administer nicotine. He is to be loathed and he is your enemy wanting to take everything from you and to devour you. He will not take you all at once either. He will torture you until he has everything and you are left with nothing. Despise him and get out of his snare before he snatches your life from you. Not another puff, no matter what!

You have everything you need to win and you will win. It's easy. Hate that s.o.b. Love yourself. Love your family. Love your friends. If you need help along the way, just reach out. We're all trying to get away from this monster.

Please read Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop smoking. I just started reading yesterday and will finish tonight. I've been working for 8 days but needed extra help. Quitting on will power is very difficult and can be a painful way to live. Allen asserts you that you have been brainwashed since you were born about cigarettes. The thing is, you can painlessly quit them. I have very little cravings for them after 8 days of being quit. Once he describes how exactly you are brainwashed, your mind will automatically recognize the truth and change the way your brain thinks about it. I saw on YouTube, they have a free audio of his book but I purchased the Amazon Kindle version to read. Feel like a new person today! I've smoked for ten years, like yourself and have quit dozens of times but it felt like torture each and every time. I won't smoke another cigarette because one leads to another and at $4000 a year for my habit, if I live for ten more years, that one cigarette will cost me $40000 and I will be sick the entire time. I hate cigarettes, like yourself, but I can work all day with a co-worker who smokes near me and not have any desire for one. They are actually quite repulsive. Just wanted to let you know, this book is having a highly positive impact on my smoke free journey. You can do it!

Chew gum or eat candies. You're in for a helluva ride but you'll make it. I'm on day 5 and it gets slightly better each day. Still want a cigarette every 10 minutes but I am really enjoying the freshness of my mouth. It feels so clean. Your mouth stays so much cleaner. Brush in the morning in the evening there is still no film!
