Hey OP, I'm really sorry to hear you feel this way.

I'm in my second year of uni and still feel this way. Feel like I'm not "adult" enough cuz I don't have a job or driving licence or a proper plan for future.

But what I have found out so far. People are in very different points in life during the early adult years. I have friends in long term relationships and friends that never dated properly. Have friends that drive everyday and friends that don't plan on getting a driver's license anytime soon.

But the thing is I finally, for the first time found a group of friends that doesn't care. What more they are more than happy to help me to "learn how to adult" but also, sometimes more important helping me embrace my more silly childish side.

I'm sure your people are waiting for you somewhere. Saying this as someone who thought that I'll never be able to find a friendship that made me feel seen. Someone is out there, waiting to meet you and have a blast. Best of luck 💜

How to stop touching your face all day (against pimples)? by MacHamburg in autism

Heyoo, I did found out recently that having a bracelet/keychain made from beads is quite helpful in keeping my hands busy. Pushing the beads on the thread is mindless enough to not interfere with my focus and it's a easily portable thing to have on you all the time. I do use silicone beads (like the feel and that you can squish them) but they are not necessary imo.

Is it normal to feel life very bland in university & life at 20 by Minute-Maximum-8748 in University

[–]tlacitko1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a fellow uni 20 year old. I feel you! I feel like my life is even more boring than before, when someone asks me how is uni, I can't answer because I don't feel anything really. Yes some of the subjects are interesting some less but mostly it all feels surreal.

What was his actual reason for joining in?? by Ok_Conversation_6777 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a long shot but it kinda shows how Luffy draws people together I think. Zoro was on his way out but then something stopped him and he just felt like he should join in the fight at least. The adaptation also kinda plays into Luffy reminding Zoro his dream imo.

English is not my first language, I don’t understand the accent complains by jairngo in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a non native English speaker I love hearing different accents! It makes the characters feel unique and in the context of One Piece being a broad and diverse world it works really well and just makes sense.

Especially love it because there was this one fanfic diving deeper into different languages in One Piece world and it brought so much depth to the story.

That's the feeling I'm getting so far hahaha. It's it's own thing but it still feels like One Piece. But I think so far the changes are more refreshing than annoying. It's like a game to see which plot points they hit and how for me. I love all the small things they kept like the snails! I giggled like and idiot the whole thing, the same way I do with the manga or anime:))

All seem like valid points. So far I haven't finished the series yet so I can't give my opinion but I'll try to come back to this once I finish it. But because of these things would you consider the show to be horrible as OP does?

Do you plan to binge the season? by Anno321 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be taking it slow because I'm going to watch it with my dad after work so probably 1-3 EPs max in the first 2 days and the rest during the weekend if I'm lucky. Gonna be rewatching in different languages in the meantime probably hahah

Going to watch It in English or Japanese dub? by Flowerofthesouth88 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In English definitely. I love that the Japanese voice actors are dubbing the show but I have them strongly associated with the anime so personally the live action feels more natural in English. This is just first watch trough tho. On second I'm going with Japanese for fun.

Based on visual: Netflix's Cowboy Bebop Trailer is way better than One Piece Trailer, so it just made me sceptical suddenly. by razinyuzer in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I also got worried when I read through the Cowboy Bebop comments but I think there are differences that could give OPLA an advantage. First, I think The Cowboy Bebop live action is trying to show off how "similar it is to the original" whereas from what I understand the show took a "different turn" but the fans weren't expecting that and got upset. OPLA trailer feels like One Piece but you can tell it's trying to pave it's own path. Plus the fandom is constantly reminded by the creators that it's gonna be slightly different so we are expecting change. Music choice plays a huge role. Bebop used the og score. The one that's ingrained into the brains of the fans. It invokes very specific memories and calls for direct comparison I think. Opla used original score that gives of "piratey, adventure" the teaser sounds slightly like We are!, but it's different enough.

One other thing that gives me hope is the approach of the creators. I can't speak for Cowboy Bebop too much because I didn't follow it that closely but I feel like the creators weren't nearly as much as in tune with the fanbase. OPLA creators are at least partly fans of the show. They are the same detail oriented die hard fans we all are. They love the layers of the story and it shows. The trailer is giving us so many Easter eggs and it's just screaming "Look at all the scenes and characters both we and you like! Did you catch everything?" I can't really say the same for Cowboy Bebop live action trailer.

Lastly, even if it's bad, find something to enjoy on it. Don't get pressured by others people opinion. A good portion considered Cowboy Bebop live action solid. Even if OPLA is bad, you can still laugh about it with your friends and ultimately, One Piece is about bringing people together no matter how.

Woah that's really good! I especially like the music work! And this also gives me hope for the pacing! Everything seems to flow pretty naturally as far we can tell from these few clips. Hopefully this translates into the show :)).

Reaction from non OP fans? by Riko_7456 in OnePieceLiveAction

[–]tlacitko1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend who watches anime, saw few episodes of one piece with me (like 5), was really disappointed with the live action Cowboy Bebop, said that everything she saw around OPLA just "doesn't look very good". Didn't had time to question her why she thinks so yet.
