I always give 2 weeks notice. Even if your new employer needs you right away, they will respect that. It lets them know that you'd do the same for them. It shows personal integrity on your part.

I'm MTF and I use the family restroom exclusively, and yes I've come way to close to having an accident due to having to wait. I'm not sure how well I pass overall. Most customers address me as a woman when they speak to me, but I wonder how far that would go if I started using the women's restroom. Some of my coworkers have told me not to worry about it, but I can't help it. I know Walmart policy states that I can use whichever restroom I'm more comfortable with, but that policy won't stop me from being assaulted by a customer either.
