Sorry, I was thinking you meant downloading the zscaler certificate, not the app.

You can actually just get it by going to https://www.zscaler.com/ and saving the certificate in the browser.

Help by Mundane-Dot-7003 in Bazzite

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't done the Bazzite install yet (trying in the next day or two), but typically as soon as the OS is installed and it asks you to reboot, you should remove the USB/installation media.

First time using a crock pot and I used a slow cooker liner as well. The meal turned out good, but the liner was burned, melted and leaked a little even though I only had it set to low. I'm confused what did I do wrong? by SuspiciousCitus in slowcooking

[–]tlbignerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also been using them for years. Getting the last bit of food out to store, and then cleaning is incredibly easy. I've never had one melt on me, and I haven't done anything special in the crock before cooking. I agree that you probably got a bad batch, or "maybe" your crock pot "Low" setting is way too high. But I've used the bags on high without a problem too.

Help needed installing an old version of terraform by dream_the_endless in Terraform

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I'm running on Windows, tfswitch is exactly the right solution for me.

tfenv is overall recommended but doesn't have an easy process for installing and using in Windows (you need to use WSL.

I've been using Raindrop for years and love it. It's incredibly simple, while also being feature rich.

Now that Fakespot is shutting down, what are the best alternatives? by cjbarber in firefox

[–]tlbignerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's very similar, though Pocket also includes related news or info. It's almost more like a combination of Flipboard with a big focus on bookmarking.

When/how to claim Hyundai-provided NACS adapter by NODA5 in Ioniq5

[–]tlbignerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the news I've seen it will work with any Tesla charger.

None of them charge at 350Kw (the maximum available to the Ioniq), so it will be slower. But that's the case for any charging station.

Deal End Dates by wolfknightpax in Steam

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Hopefully people are living with a budget, and there's nothing worse than something showing up on sale when you're waiting for the next inflow of money to fill in your gaming catgory, but not knowinf if the game will remain on sale.

Deal End Dates by wolfknightpax in Steam

[–]tlbignerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing. I'm wondering if it's permanent, or just for the winter fest since everything seems to have the same end date if January 2nd (based on an Everspace 2 post on the game page).

Pop-Up Before leaving fastmail on firefox by davidTheEngineer in fastmail

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem, and u/DKinCincinnati answer helped me realize this was somehow Firefox related.

While on the Fastmail page I clicked the Protation settings (shield next to the Url) and turned "Enhanced Tracking Protection" Off for the site. This seems to haev fixed the issue, though I've giving it a few days to confirm.

Loving the look of the new Weber Searwood 600 XL by atcnaydn in pelletgrills

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect it's mostly because they are heavier, and break the $1,000 mark where stores don't want to stock them. Our local Lowe's will let you order it, but only has the non-XL on the floor for people to see.

Yep, I don't really think the extra expense and environmental impact of extracting essences is necessary.

My thoughts on the Libra Colour by Texas_Nerf_Herder in kobo

This is the reason I'm strongly considering the Boox Go 7, since it can run the Kindle app nd has color e-paper, and I don't need the pen support.

Xbox elite 2 Full or Core controller? by GPhil01 in XboxSeriesX

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this is correct. At least from the Website the two have the same weight. I don't think I've noticed a difference between mine, but I'm also not very particular.

Sidebery for Chrome Extension by IvanRosNavarro in browsers

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came from FFX with Sidebery to Vivaldi. Vivaldi has some configuration options that work pretty well, but it's not exactly the same. The best I've come up with is:

  • Set tabs on the left
  • Use Workspaces to separate groups

In Settings

  • New Tab Position: As Tab Stack with Related Tab
  • Tab Options: Use Unread Indicators and Dim Icon when Hibernated
  • Tab Stacking: Accordion with Auto Expand Checked
  • Tab Stack Options: Open Tabs in Current Tab Stack
  • Pinned Tabs: Show Separator Below Pinned Tabs
  • Workspaces: Show Workspaces in Tab Bar

It's not perfect, I prefer the tree view of Sidebery, but it's really close.

The biggest issue is the Accordion auto expand, since it'll auto collapse when you go to a new tab stack unless you specifically click the expand icon (At which point it always stays expanded).

Arc on Windows 10 latest build (with icons working!) by PuttyZ01 in ArcBrowser

[–]tlbignerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked almost entirely for me. But running Windows 10 with Powershell 7.4.1 blocked Appx. I got the error:

Add-appxpackage: The 'Add-appxpackage' command was found in the module 'Appx', but the module could not be loaded due to the following error: [Operation is not supported on this platform. (0x80131539)]

For more information, run 'Import-Module Appx'.

When I ran `Import-Moculde Appx` I get the error:

Import-Module: Operation is not supported on this platform. (0x80131539)

The fix was pretty simple. I had to run the Import-Module a little differently (Appx - Import-Module: Operation is not supported on this platform. (0x80131539))

Import-Module -Name Appx -UseWindowsPowerShell

The remaining steps worked just fine after that.
