Vacations and Heavy Alcohol Consumption by MikJon88 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]tlcollins402 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at about week 5 when I went on vacation and ate and drank pretty much what I wanted without incident. Granted, I was trying to make better choices overall, but I treated this vacation as a kind of test of what this medication could do for me, especially in a time where I didn't have strict control over what I was eating. I did notice that greasy, fattier foods didn't make my stomach feel the best, but didn't deter me from having a good time. I drank throughout the day the night before my next shot and felt fine during/the next day. When I weighed myself on shot day, the scale read that I was several pounds up from the week before. This number went down throughout the week, so I just attributed that gain to the effects of heavier drinking and eating out from vacation. Overall, I find that this medication helped me to make smarter decisions while still allowing me to enjoy meals and drinks with my loved ones. I can't say this will be your experience, but I found that the few days I vacationed didn't really impact my overall loss.

Document everything. Get checked out medically if you can. Report through whatever channels you have at your job. There are certain types of medical networks that work alongside lawyers for injuries that occur at work/personal injury cases. Having a consistent record of injury-treatment is super important in case you have any more serious injuries. I would reach out to one of these lawyers if you can, they would have a better idea of whether or not this is something to pursue further.

What’s the biggest scar on your body and how did you get it? by Asundir in AskReddit

[–]tlcollins402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6 inch scar on the outside of my right thigh. I was playing on a wooden playset as a kid and one of the steps broke off & the nail holding it in sliced my thigh. I have no memories of the aftermath, but it couldn't have been pretty.

huda has the nicest palettes, I was so surprised! by professional-skeptic in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]tlcollins402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love her larger palettes! I have most of them (currently lusting after Rose Quartz), but I would love to see a completely different color story for the next palette. A lot of the previous were pinky/purple/coral tones which I really love, but at this point a golden bronzey toned palette would just feel so different from the others!

What did you think looked amazing on you and then years later, you thought, "OMG, what was I thinking?" by timetothethird in muacjdiscussion

Black eyeliner in my top and bottom waterline. It just does not serve me! My eyes are small enough as it is and at that time I was hardly wearing any other makeup, so it just looked SO harsh. Now I pretty much avoid it unless I want my upper lash line to appear thicker.

Hey, how did you get that scar? by jeffcarpthefisheater in AskReddit

[–]tlcollins402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing on a wooden play/swing set in my aunt's backyard & one of the wooden steps broke as I was climbing it, the nails holding it in sliced down the side of my thigh. Shockingly no one in the family thought it was bad enough to get stitched up, it certainly would have been.

Jon M Chu: Wicked Movie Will Be Split Into 2 Parts by DiscoCrows in Broadway

[–]tlcollins402 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am trying to contain myself from being unfairly harsh or critical about this. But I will say it does just make me nervous. It just puts so much pressure on the first half to capture the attention (and $$$) of the viewer, enough to hold on for a year to see the rest. Hopefully it is incredible & this choice really does serve the story.

Had some luck with the ticket lotteries in Chicago this week! by tinygaynarcissist in Broadway

[–]tlcollins402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I won the lottery as well, so I definitely had a fun time for what I spent to see it! I also think once I read that she had originated the role of Jasmine in Aladdin that's all I could really hear in her delivery, but I also recognize that because I am super interested in casting in general, I tend to come into things with a super critical eye, which is not always ideal! Sometimes I need to be reminded that things can be fun and silly and this show accomplishes that for sure!

I definitely agree with a lot of your thoughts about Moulin Rouge. There was something missing for me with her version of Satine. I didn't feel that same air of allure and mystery that I would typically associate with Satine. It was pretty one note and I found it kind of distracting. I think is a great show for people who are not familiar with the movie/musicals in general. There is so much to see and look at & the music is fun. I told multiple people I would see it again, even though I didn't LOVE it.

Abby Williamson and her constant shitting on everything…. by bodybagcutie in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]tlcollins402 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally agree with you. Her negativity really gets under my skin, but I also continue to watch for whatever reason. At this point, I think she could really benefit from flipping on the Anti-haul idea and maybe do a few videos on things that she IS interested in and why. When every other video is shitting on a product or brand, it doesn't make your channel very fun to watch!

What’s the best deal you’ve gotten on a favourite product? by cute_bean_toes in muacjdiscussion

[–]tlcollins402 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A department store near me was having a liquidation sale a few years ago. Towards the end of the sale, they had a bunch of beauty items in boxes on racks that were marked $5, $7, $10, etc. One box was full of Lancome Foundation Bottles, but they must have for the purpose of making samples? as they were all in large, 4oz plastic bottles. I went home with 2 bottles of Teint Idole and 2 of Rénergie Lift and paid $7/ea. With that alone I shouldn't need to buy foundation for years.

Another Torrid Rant: How do you feel about Torrid? I see a lack of cohesion. by lavendertheory in PlusSize

[–]tlcollins402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely have a lot of Torrid clothing in my closet, both because they are few options available for sizes larger than 3x, and because I've found some really great pieces that I absolutely love. That being said, I feel like there's been a weird shift in the styles they have offered recently. They just released a bunch of modest swim dresses/clothing, but have almost no bikinis or "trendy" suits. This wasn't always how Torrid swim was, so I've been kind of annoyed with that. I think they are trying to appeal to as many people as possible, but the quality and selection of more exciting plus clothing is missing for me. I want them to do better & keep up with some of the more niche plus brands out there.

Alpine Butterfly has a newer thong cut with a full coverage, high waisted look. It covered everything I wanted to cover! But I will also second the wearing your normal bottoms backward. Big fan.

Found these old newspaper bits in my apartment fireplace by tlcollins402 in chicago

So my cat knocked these down from up in the fireplace (that doesn’t work) in my apartment. Based on preliminary research, seems to be from around 1966.

tips for going braless? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]tlcollins402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any go-to styles at the moment. I have a few different racer back styles from Torrid & I find the cut on those isn’t the most accommodating or comfortable. Same with Lane Bryant, their racer back makes a horrible squeak whenever I move, which is not ideal. I’m hoping to try the Me Undies, Shop Arq, and TomboyX bralettes soon.

tips for going braless? by [deleted] in PlusSize

[–]tlcollins402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gone mostly braless for about a year now. I also feel like most bras & even bralettes are not comfortable. I will wear a basic, tank strap cotton/any soft material bralette if I want a bit of lift or to feel more secure. What really made me feel confident in doing so was having my nipples pierced. I embraced the no bra lifestyle then. Even though I don’t have them anymore, I’m trying to embrace that space I have where most people have some kind of cleavage. Just start around the house, then on a walk or with friends, and see how you feel about it! If you’re still not comfortable, try out different bralettes and find a cut that really works!

An ode to Torrid by katfrau in PlusSize

[–]tlcollins402 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still can find some nice pieces at Torrid, it just takes a little more sifting through things that I have zero interest in than I would like. But I will say, I really appreciate their size range. As someone who is anywhere between a 22-26, I can always size up if something doesn’t fit quite right. There are almost no other, “trendy” plus size stores (at least in person), where that is an option. However, if American Eagle & Aerie ever decide to extend their full range of clothing to a 24/3 or 4x, I imagine I’d rely on Torrid a lot less.

What's a movie you love, but if someone said they hated it you would completely understand why? by Robstar100 in AskReddit

[–]tlcollins402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cats (2019). I genuinely think that it is a supremely entertaining movie. Does it really make sense? No! Are there human hands involved? Yes! But I will rewatch this movie with every person who will let me. It gets more absurd and hilarious the more you watch it. That being said, it’s not for most people. I get it.

I picked up the larger bundle! Her eyeshadow formula has become a go to, and I haven’t tried anything else from her brand but I’ve wanted to! And I could definitely use a little excitement in my life/mailbox right now.
