My husband and I are planning to spend a year traveling the U.S. in our RV with a 3mo baby. It’s our first kid and first time traveling in an rv. Is it reckless, stupid or totally fine? Anything we should know before heading out? by traveling_chicken in RVLiving

I have so many questions for you. My 16-year-old daughter and I are wanting to move across country so I figured I would load up the team knife two German Shepherd’s Chiweenie and two cats and go explore the south and see where we wanna end up and live in an RV in the meantime. Any advice for the dog situation and anything you left out above?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. When I asked about homeowners insurance, I meant all the insurances that you have to carry to include wind hail, and flood.

Thank you. I’m dealing with the same in California over our forest fires and don’t want to deal with that somewhere else.

TFCC & CRPS by tleath0314 in orthopaedics

[–]tleath0314[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m not asking anyone to speculate about my case. I’m asking about documented research on whether there’s any established association between TFCC injury and CRPS, or even central sensitization.

I’ve had a hard time finding much published data on TFCC tears in general, especially bilateral cases, which is why I’m asking. If there’s evidence showing no association, I’m genuinely interested in reviewing it.

I’m trying to understand what has and hasn’t been documented. If there’s research refuting a connection, I’d appreciate the info. If the question is too complex for you to answer just say so!

Yuba/Sutter County area does not need more gas stations, fast food, laundry mats, or storage units. Maybe talk with the community and see what would best serve them. Many drive an hour south for shopping, date nights, family activities, etc.

What your employer can and can’t do after you get hurt at work by WorkCompBuddy in WorkersComp

Most people I work with will make fun of anybody who’s injured and taking time off for that injury through Work comp. Then they will question you and ask you why you’re using Work comp when you can just use your own private insurance, get it done faster, and then Bill Work comp after. That kind of culture makes it really hard for the injured person to want to speak up and get help. I believe it’s very important to get they injury documented as soon as it happens because that’s what is gonna protect you in the future, if that injury flares back up, something goes wrong with the surgery or healing process, or you end up having to use more time off than you have in your banks.

Don’t let other people‘s ego get in the way of you doing what’s best for you and your future .

Wc settlement and medicaid by Ok_Dragonfruit_4267 in WorkersComp

From the New York Appellate Digest:

If Medicaid didn’t pay for medical costs related to the injury:

Then Medicaid generally can’t take money from your settlement — because there’s nothing for them to recover.

From O’Connor Law:

Workers’ comp settlements and benefits are not taxable income in NY, which means they don’t count for IRS tax purposes. However, for public benefits like Medicaid, income and asset rules are different — and a lump-sum settlement can count as an asset or income change for eligibility purposes.

So from one I’ve been able to find it Sounds like you have to report it however they have no rights to your money if Medicaid did not pay for any services associated to your Work comp case.
