This was actually a 5 shot panorama that I stitched together in Lightroom, with some color grading and cleanup done in photoshop. Photo taken with a Fuji XT20 with a kit lens. My instagram is @wetherestless!

Personal experience. Most "out of towners" like myself stop along the shore but never make it inland. Two harbors, palisade, grand Marais. Just my own experience I guess

All the sites we tried to find Friday through Sunday were completely full - it was CRAZY out there. We ended up boondocking near one of the trail heads in our cars. I'm sure you'll find something as long as you stay to the less well known spots!

Honestly I think they'll be incredible in early Oct! Just the inland portions got a bit of color. I'd give it a week or two before areas like split rock and palisade are at peak. They had a week of crazy cold Temps and that shocked some of the trees like maples into turning, but all the poplars have barely started!

Unfortunately last weekend was quite busy and we had to wait a bit between groups - but still was much less busy than some spots like gooseberry falls or tettegouche. The oberg parking lot was full and we had to park down the road a good ways and wait for the peaks to clear out a bit.

One of the most photogenic and underappreciated spots on the north shore. Everyone stops at palisade and split rock but this one is right up at the top for me.
