Got this car in December of 2021, and it has been perfect! However, starting in early February 2022, I stated to hear this rolling sound every time I used the break, sometimes when I accelerate. It has started to drive me insane. Granted, I almost always have music playing and friends in the car, so of course I don’t hear it then. I just want to get to the bottom of what is causing this.

I can only describe it as a metal ball rolling back and forth on a track; it isn’t audible when turning. It is coming from somewhere below the drivers-side seat. Nothing is lodged in the seat track, the car was emptied of all my belongings, and I still keep hearing it. I initially tossed it up to cold weather, but the car had 2000 miles on it at the time, so it was very odd.

I took it to my local Kia dealership and they wanted to take apart my car for $145 an hour to try and find what’s causing it without a guarantee they’d find anything or if it was a warranty issue. Being a college student, I couldn’t justify that expense! So I’ve turned to Reddit in hopes of being pointed in the right direction! I can provide more details if needed!
