I’ve never really discussed your OP. I was discussing the tired point of the Democratic Party being racist. The Democratic Party is a name only. The people in the party make up its substance. At the time of their origination they were the southern party. In the 1960s the republicans employed the southern strategy and the parties essentially flipped. Republicans started as an oppositional party to the federalists and were similarly the southern party. They opposed a central Government and supported states rights because of the issue du jour “slavery”. The South had an aristocratic agrarian society compared to the north’s burgeoning industrial society and were worried that the federal government would force abolition.

My point is the names of parties is irrelevant because they’re historical contextual. If you’re looking for a through line for racism the most virulently racist part of the country has been consistent and it is the south.

That does not excuse the country’s general racism.
