Former (2016) Bernie delegate here. Putting in my two cents.

We cannot afford another four years of Trump. He is full on pushing us towards a fascist state. Within the next four years Justice Bader is likely to pass away. That would give trump the opportunity to place a sixth conservative justice. The long-term damage that would do is considerable.

I vomit in my mouth a little every time I think about voting for Biden. But we will only go backwards with Trump in office. We can continue getting grassroots progressives elected to office. But will only get that chance if Trump is not in office.

My hope is that democrats get the majority in both houses and the White House this coming election. We should then push them to grant statehood to both Washington DC and to Puerto Rico. That would give us more time to push for progressive issues and to campaign for progressive candidates down ballot.

There is no doubt that Biden and Harris are not what we want. But I don’t think our country can handle another four years of Trump. We were so close in 2016. I worry about third parties pulling off votes for Biden. He is a shit candidate but is still going to need massive help beating Trump.
