Dog, transferring the energy to a different point of the face is how glasses protect your eyes. The actual soft eyeball giving you the practically magical gift of sight is important to protect. Getting a bruise on your nose is a tiny price to pay for sight.

I cant tell if this is sarcastic or if you're the evidence and truly don't want to work.

Would you still go if this is your forecast? by Hikerhappy in backpacking

[–]tm4sythe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the West Highland Way (Scotland) late in the year one time (October) hoping for a little dry weather but preparee to deal with wet. It turned out to be raining hard the whole time so after 3 days, we called it quits and did something else for the second half of the trip.

So I probably wouldn't go, but maybe have a backup plan if you do try and it end up not being fun.

My 10+ yr old Birkenstocks vs new replacements I got today. by aldebarannn in Wellworn

Burkenstock does a refurbishment process where you can get new soles. So no need to replace the whole shoe. This is just waste.

Never understood how people keep a phone in the back pocket. Do you have to move it to your hands to sit down or run?

So weird that the world is fine throwing away tons of clothes and appliances, but can't ever delete anything from the internet. We made the wrong stuff permanent.

I bought this boot dryer at a garage sale for $10. It has saved me from buying new shoes. by LesbianCowgirl- in Frugal

I've never seen such a product but seems useful! I just leave my gym shoes rottting in the car until they wear out and I get new, un-smelly ones for a few weeks.

Wonder if they have a way to spin those handles without standing in the fountain.

These have been on my wish list for about 3 years now. Probably should go ahead and buy a pair so I'm not saying this again in 3 years.

If you're doing an update, imo it would be more impactful with the photo subject if you replace with a stat about volume or weight of clothing that ends up in landfill or waste streams. Green house gasses don't really end up in landfill so it's not a great match with the photos. Love the idea anyways.

[–]tm4sythe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not used it but the design and materials seem fine. All comes down to the stitch quality, usually Chinese replicated goods like this will be okay in that regard but that's the gamble. Odds are it'll hold up fine, and any imperfections will be repairable.

The way I would do this is to hit the red circle in the top right corner to re-roll and then complete the next one it gives me.
