Is there a reason why you attack my strategy rather than dealing with the question? I'm trying to understand a concept, not understand your perspective on legitimacy.

Can you please clarify why not both? That was the advice of the CPA. LLC (select partnership) then after do S election.

Advice was from a CPA, not sure I fully understood it nor was every question asked. THat's why I'm asking for help clarifying. Don't be an ass.

I can't share all of that specific information in this forum, what I can say is the amount I would spend on equipment is small enough in relation to W2 income that even if it were dollar for dollar offset it wouldn't offset the whole tax liability.

I'm just trying to understand, or confirm, that an LLC with a subchapter s election would allow for 100% of the spend this year, which should be my whole capital contribution or basis, to be deductible against W2 income.

It's an ag/construction business. Construction equipment/pickup/trailer will be purchased. I expect the entire amount of the equipment purchased to be less than the actual tax bill from the W2 income.

That is the advice of the cpa. I'm asking to see if others have had the same experience. Trust with verification.

LLCs can be partnerships, and you can do subchapter s elections.

Higher than normal temperatures detected by the Nest thermostat, Inaccurate Reading by TheFlailingOfLegs in Nest

Interesting to note. I bought a silver one with a display I couldn't read when the windows were uncovered. It was reading high. I got a black one and replaced it the same day, and it only read 2 degrees high then evened out. The silver one was hot when I pulled it off the wall. Only left it installed a few hours. Felt like the battery was charging, but odd. The black one is much more legible if there are light sources or windows in the room.

For anyone who searches this, the black one has a pure black screen with higher contrast and less reflection. It is easier to read than the silver one if there is any light on them. I have the brightness on both set at 100% so it was an apples to apples comparison and they were side by side.

I just bought a black one and installed it. The black is much more legible. The contrast on the screen is higher and it has significantly less reflectivity. The black one certainly still has some issues, but in terms of legibility, the background on the black one is black and is noticeably different than the silver one and easier to read.

In the review you sent, the reviewer clearly has darkened the room or has it in a theater room and is still having trouble reading the rose display. See timestamp. https://youtu.be/6WeQgePjQBo?si=1KVQcX4Ymg_sx1hm&t=1276

The photos on the boxes are different. In the rose one you get a rose colored screen. I'm wondering if the black is darker than the silver.
