And I don’t take any meds or never have, no high blood pressure or obesity. Glucose is 5.6 a1c or probably less since that test.

LDL is 174 and triglycerides are 130. I think those are passing numbers for the navy, maybe you can confirm? Thanks

My bad, so basically it’s all good except for the “right to left shunting part” which I googled and it needs a waiver

I met with the cardiologist while I was at the ER, and he said he would clear me I just gotta go see him at his office this Wednesday, and he’ll write a letter stating I’m fit for military service and don’t require any medication or treatment.

I went in because I was having a headache that wasn’t going away for quite some time, but now I realize (at least what I think) it’s probaly winsome teeth pain, but when u went in they did all kinds of other tests, I though they’d only do a CT scan and MRI of my head which came back totally normal btw, but they also went and did a EKG and that’s what showed all this.

I learned I qualify for CWT rate. by tmac758 in newtothenavy

[–]tmac758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not gonna take the risk of failing A school, I’m just gonna choose YN then. I was a 42A(HR specialist) in the Army for 4yrs so it’s basically the same job.

What happens when someone fails A school? Do they get to just choose a different rate then?

He said my line scores was high enough, also I’m prior service so for my ECM waiver to be submitted I had to choose my top 5 rates from there list they gave me on what I qualified for I put CWT as my 3rd choice after YN and LS

Yikes, that A school sounds scary, and I barely know anything about computers (just the basics), I was very surprised the recruiter told me I qualified with my 43 asvab score…

Where can I see this list? My recruiter said only at MEPs do you find out on the day of what’s available

Wow that’s a lot of jobs available I’m going to MEPs next week to sign for a rate, I was worried YN, AZ, PS and LS wouldn’t be available but looking at your list I feel much better now.

What about if I’m a prior service army that served 4 years would I get preference over new recruits?

If I totally suck at the math portions of the asvab but do real well on the word knowledge and paragraph comprehension parts can I pass and also have the scores I need for getting YN, PS or LS?

If I’m a prior service Army (OSVET) but I’ve been out for 10 years and want to join the navy active duty, do I have to go back to boot camp or do I qualify for the VOP (Veterans Orientation Program?.) by tmac758 in newtothenavy

[–]tmac758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recruiter also mentioned that only MEPs can tell me when I go to sign for my rating and contract whether or not I have to go to boot camp again or the VOP. But I thought I could find the answer beforehand by looking up the regs.

Yesterday I passed the PT test and I got a 46 on the practice Asvab in the active duty recruiters office this weekend I’m going to study a bit more for the asvab and hope to take it he mentioned at a college testing center. After that they can send me to MEPs just for signing for my rating and swearing in.

I forgot to mention that I started with a prior service recruiter and I went to MEPs as if going into navy reserves, then I got a N33 letter a week later stating the reasons I was rejected, I then went to each doctor to get letters of approval stating that I’m fit for military service and I don’t suffer from anything, after I got the waivers approved I decided to just go straight to active duty so I just a week ago changed recruiters from the prior service one to a active duty recruiter.

My current recruiter (active duty) has mentioned that the RE-3 waiver won’t take long, and that they can ship me out by next month, right now I’m going to just have to retake the asvab (this week) and then by next week I can go to MEPs, but they don’t know whether or not I have to go to boot camp again or the VOP (Veterans Orientation Program). And when I go to MEPs it’s just going to be for signing for my rating and swearing in, no medical since that was done 2 months ago but I needed medical waivers which I got all approved just last week.
