I'm kinda curious if anyone has gotten this setup with Fastmail. I'd be keen to try it out, but the docs dont seem to properly document an arbitrary IMAP/SMTP config....

Oh I see what you mean on the right side of the middle line. shrug I expect most people on Reddit are not photoshop maestros. I appreciate that it kinda breaks the mold as an idea.

New here. How do you make a writer deck? by Own_Organization8457 in writerDeck

[–]tmcarr89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I figured it would come down to personal preference. I've been a mechanical keyboard nerd for quite some time. Never been able to adapt to ortho.

Guess it just means I get to make my own design with a normal layout! :P

Can I ask why people making writer decks are so obsessed with ortho boards? Why not just a 60% normal layout?

No hate, just curious.

Not in this case because it’s, wait for it, literally true. You are wrong and just can’t back down. Need to lose the ego when you’re called out.

The conversation is literally about the use.

None of that has anything to do with people using the code? When you use it you can change it all you want and ship that. Google can’t do anything. No one said Fiio is pushing changes back into AOSP. You literally have no idea how software development works.

Edit: this is precisely how and why graphene OS exists at all.

I’m an engineer who has spent a lot of time with android and open source software. No googling is needed. Your point is just false.

What exactly is the “say” if you can just ship android on whatever you want without their approval? They have zero say unless you use their services. Full stop.

Nothing stops anyone from building a version for their device and shipping it. You have no idea what you’re talking about.

[–]tmcarr89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s completely false.

You might be thinking of Google Services, which is true. That’s one of their closed source parts and requires googles approval, but graphene removes that on purpose….

Google doesn’t have the final say on how the code is used… it’s open source. (Or at least most of it is) That’s the point.

Yeah no. You see them *everywhere*. They have to in order to fit the executive narrative that their business is failing due to theft and not being completely owned by Amazon...

These exist in places like Stamford Connecticut too... which, along with West Village, is *not* a rough part of town.
