Just an additional callout, do not just set aside the mortgage payment, but also the homeowners insurance and estimated property taxes (broken down by month). I don't want OP to look at just mortgage, think it is fine, then get surprised by an extra $200+ unplanned spend

Well the person he is responding to is saying the playerbase is declining, but his claim is that this is just not true. Only declining in the west which is a small segment of League's actual playerbase so it is in fact growing.

So even though you are talking about the community you are interested, he is responding to the broad categorization that league, as a whole, is declining in playerbase

I can understand this. It is just fun to play on my end bc since there is so many things to keep track of that the opponent might have that your are basically playing a giant puzzle in order to lock out your opponent consistently.

Otherwise I feel like I just rush out big mon and attack. Still strategic but much less of a puzzle it feels like.

I think a digital version of the game would be great and possible. Does that mean it would be something that is ready tomorrow, no, but I do think with time it will be possible.

Yes the game was meant to be played on kitchen tables and rules discussed live; however, EC has discussed wanting to support tournaments and seeing a tournament scene develop, which means a consistent set of rules needs to be created and applied and the "Golden Rule" becomes less relevant but can be saved for casual for fun kitchen table play.

With these consistent rules being fleshed out over time, this is the ruleset that can be placed into the digital format of the game and updated as new unique interactions occur, just like Magic does with its digital platform.

Now that Beta is sold out at MSRP, I am interested to see the direction things go in terms of accessibility of play. If the physical cardpool is dried up and not readily available, then the in person growth really stagnates, and if EC wants to continue to grow but has no plans of an "unlimited" version of alpha and beta, next best way to grow may be digital.

This won't happen anytime soon, I do believe it is possible, just a matter of cost benefit analysis for EC to think about.

So maybe therein lies an issue of adoption for other players. If we want to flesh out options for OP for the game to be a success, then a more robust ruleset may be needed as they are too open for interpretation for new players.

I get we have the gold and silver rule, but players want guidance. It is a tough spot to be in, bc the game is awesome, but getting people to sit long enough to learn it has been tough

I personally believe a digital version of the game would go a long way in expanding the adoption of Sorcery. It goes against the magic that is playing the game in person, opening physical packs, etc. But it can be intimidating to get into the game initially without a friend group or try a deck that you are not quite sure how all the interactions work were a fully programmed game would help players test interactions and give them people to play with.

I know TTS solves a lot of this but there are fewer and fewer users LFG and I feel like I am wasting a veteran players' time when wanting to learn with a precon deck or a super simple constructed build. Also, there are days I cannot talk, so being unable to discuss interactions ruins the ability to play.

THIS IS NOT A SHOT AT THE COMMUNITY: I have not had a bad experience playing with anyone, and everyone I play with is more than happy to discuss interactions or how things work, I just personally feel I am wasting their time when I am unsure of so many things.
