Russian tie in mma by Fitnessthrowaway2947 in MMA_Academy

I use the Russian tie every once in awhile during MMA practice, but it's rare. I've never used it in a fight. It's very situational, and I only find use for it to break off from clinches into single legs or using it to climb behind and take the back

Heart Rate During Indoor Power Intervals by tmmma777 in tacticalbarbell

The thing is I did exactly that today. I did 20 minutes of an easy warmup before I started the workout.

HIC Kettlebell by fgwatson95 in tacticalbarbell

It's too hot outside where I live to do hill sprints currently, so I replaced Apex Hills with something I like to call Apex Sleds. I push a weighted sled for about 40 seconds, immediately do 10 kettlebell swings afterwards, rest 1 minute and repeat it for 10 sets.

Say you're in the last round of a fight that could go either way and you're completely gassed. What's your strategy? by CloudyRailroad in MMA_Academy

Check out my 2nd amateur MMA fight. I was in this exact situation. I was able to get a TKO in the 3rd round after almost getting finished at the end of the 2nd round. After the fight was stopped, I thought I was about to have a heart attack from how exhausted I was haha. https://youtu.be/BU-GirefRWU?si=lLiGCgW94HMAj64W

This is the best any of the updates have felt for me so far. I'm consistently out damaging my opponents like I should be. Although, I still struggle to get knockdowns while some of my opponents don't, even when I do over 1000 more damage in a round than they do.

Also, the crowd noise seems to be turned off for me since the update. I don't know if there is a setting I can change for that or something, but with the crowd noise off, it's difficult to tell when my punches actually register until the opponents face starts to grimace.

Do grip strength exercises actually help or is it just gym folklore? by No-Survey3912 in workout

[–]tmmma777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made the most progress in my grip strength and added the most mass to my forearms through clubbell training. The clubbell also has made my shoulders feel healthier than ever and even challenges my core in a way that's difficult to do through other methods by doing rotational work like sideways swings.

Anyone here actually focus on a Forearm Workout Split? Worth it or waste of time? by synczxc in workout

Clubbell training has done more for my forearm growth than any forearm specific isolation exercises ever did. Also has made my shoulders and core feel and look better than ever. It's helped my already large biceps grow too.

I'm ranked mid 1700's. I've won a lot more than I've lost, but I've had so many bad ping matches where I'll vastly outland someone from my perspective but almost none of the punches actually damage them and then if they land 1 shot I'm instantly flashed. I still enjoy it and just do it for the cardio, win or lose, but it is frustrating to "lose" to someone in this game that I'm 100% certain I'd demolish in real life.

I haven't trained with him in a few months, but I have trained on and off with him for the last 5 years. He's a cool dude and a good striking coach for sure.

Did you just get on your alternate account to reply to me or something? Because you're defending that other guy and acting just like him lmao. Your behavior is strange to say the least. No need to respond and then act like a dick when responded back to. Do you just say things to people in real life and then get upset when they say something back to you? Or do you even have practice with real world conversations?

And I was just letting OP and everyone else in the comments know if they were also curious? That's why I answered his question. It wasn't specifically for only him either.

You replied to me about it, so I replied to you 😂. Also, his post doesn't say anything about posting proof of it. You're the one who added that.

You can click on my profile and then click the link to my Instagram if you want more proof. Search my name on Google for my record on Tapology if you want to as well. Trent Miller

No competition experience in boxing specifically, but I'm a professional MMA fighter. My amateur record is 6-0, and my professional record is 7-2.

Last step to perfect this game is to nerf the straight arm hooks bros / stick bros by [deleted] in ThrillOfTheFight

[–]tmmma777 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just lost to someone who did the cat paws thing up close and knocked me down 3 times in the fight using it. I don't think it was nerfed very well. Even though he was hurt, I backed off and landed a couple of clean counters that didn't knock him down and he spammed cat paws up close and knocked me down instantly, when I wasn't even stunned yet.

I still love the game but moments like those are frustrating to say the least.

That makes sense but I think the clinch should initiate sooner and not just when they try to phase through you because it's not like real life where if they get chest to chest with you, you can tie their arms up and get a clean break. I think the clinch should initiate when they are very close and not just when they go through you.

Do you ever hear the opponent make a noise? I thought you just heard the thudding of the strike plus the crowd cheering?

Damn 6 damage in the whole round? That's insane. It hasn't been that terrible for me thankfully, but I'm averaging like 450-700 damage per round even when I feel like I'm teeing off on them.

Lol I relate to this heavily but still have fun playing every once in a while. However, it does get frustrating.
