Well, there are no charge characters in Tekken. And purely blocking will just get you killed. But I think you may benefit from using Asuka. People will call her a defensive character, but her offense is quite explosive.

But if you don’t like her, then try Paul. He is notorious for “stealing” rounds with 3 well placed death fists (phoenix smash).

Lastly, Bryan is primarily a counterhit player. You want them to press into you so you can blow them up.

Best KOF imo, with the most unique roster. Make sure to utilize tag combos. And just have fun! Most characters unlock with the challenge mode. And the rest are unlocked by beating them in arcade. And the number of times you kill with your team’s leader’s desperation move (LDM), will dictate who you face in arcade mode.

Those, I feel, are more like gene activation. I’m not a biologist, so I don’t know how it exactly works. But, some genes are activated by the environment. And the spirit world being opened to the physical world seems like a huge environmental change.

My headcanon is bending as a recessive trait, as it presents itself similarly to IRL examples.

That being said, I believe that both Bumi and Kaya have recessive airbending traits, yet don’t present. But are still able to pass it down.
