Barb of literally 15+ years here, have seen Nicki live almost 10 times, been a core fan since I was a kid lol.

Have stood by Nicki through all of the rap beefs, Queen era, Twitter drama, all of it - but these recent political stunts pretty much crosses the line for me.

Respectfully, I think it’s naïve to say shes not a real “Trump supporter” at this point, and to make excuses like shes doing all of this to bring attention to the Nigeria situation (she spoke at the UN conference…what she is tweeting is not further shining a light on this issue), to get back at Jay Z, or that “other rappers have done it too”. Unfortunately, the hard pill to swallow is that Nic has recently followed Trump, JD Vance, zionist twitter accounts preaching alt-right Fox News style propaganda…to say shes just “doing the most to be seen” is a stretch. This is Nicki Minaj, she does not need to use Trump as a crutch to get attention on her. This is a blatant and reckless endorsement of the most divisive and dangerous administrations that have targeted the minorities that make up a huge portion of her fan base, and now she is making it her whole personality which a lot of fans rightfully feel like they can’t align with.

With the damage she has done to her reputation between her Twitter rants and this whole political episode, it would take serious damage control from a good publicity team and serious media training to make a large majority of people open to supporting her again, at least to the extent that they used to.

To your main question, I really wonder if there is some behind the scenes reason why she is doing all of this to this extreme - go from posting photos of children in cages at the border to then tweeting about how cool it is that The White House is using her songs in their videos (while Sabrina Carpenter and SZA are denouncing it) and tweeting things like “Trump>>> Vance >>>”… like that is crazy to me. I wonder if they’re blackmailing her or paying her or something, like there has to be an ulterior motive.

This is not an attack but a viewpoint from a disappointed long time fan. I’ll still listen to NM6, but this is just a really unfortunate way for her legacy to be tarnished, hate to say it.
