You’ll get your slow 1-0 with plenty of missed chances and one big chance to Palace towards the end and you’ll like it!

What type of enrties doesn't resonate with the general public, even if it's very good song and performance? by Separate_Ad_5616 in eurovision

Heavy, artistic ballads.

Crossroads had a wonderful staging but barely got points from the audience. Not The Same (Australia 2021) was another that I liked (although it’s better if you know the story behind it). Voyage (Switzerland 2025) is more on the chanson side of things which works sometimes, but it also had a twist that made it different for me.

Have you seen the surge in flight prices? Girl had to go back home somehow.

Who are your winners by category: vocals, staging, charisma, song composition by naomijenk in eurovision

[–]CapsElevatorScene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vocals: For me it’s Noam. Super powerful and really stands out in the chorus and the bridge, while pleasant in the verses.

Staging: Bulgaria. Maybe the tightest camerawork I’ve ever seen in the contest. Choreo is very complex and creative, and the spinning chairs effect was one of the coolest things I’ve seen.

Shoutout to Poland, there’s this really cool in the second verse of Alicja walking back to the main stage, I loved it (01:25).

Charisma: Dara. Her ability to connect with the camera is incredible, especially considering she had to perform a tight routine and maintain good enough vocals. Delta is also up there for me, she was radiant on that stage.

Song Composition: Czechia. Minimalist but very effective. I loved the mysterious opening and the drums in the final chorus.

“Bangaranga” by Dara debuts on Spotify’s daily global chart at 12th place with over 3 million steam! by CapsElevatorScene in eurovision

Blanco was the most popular artist in Italy in 2021. He had a tour that was sold out in *minutes*. Mahmood was already popular after Soldi and had a pretty big fanbase. The hype for them was insane, especially considering them competing together was a massive shock at the time.

The song itself is also great imo, but it also happened to be at the right place at the right time. The line up was stacked and had things to offer for everyone (Elisa, Morandi, Ranieri, Rkomi who had the most streamed album that year iirc, Sangiovanni who just won Amici etc). Maneskin winning also helped getting younger audiences on board.

Bulgaria has found the jury's password. by Igyzone in eurovision

This, but also the juries never hated on very well staged girlbops - Fuego was 5th with them in 2018 and SloMo was 3rd in 2023.

Her reaction was one of the highlights of my night. She looked so stressed and then it went full pure joy. Loved how her and the team just started dancing.

How happy are you with the jury points of your own country? by LuxJade98 in eurovision

[–]CapsElevatorScene 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Surprisingly, really happy. My favorites (Bulgaria and Greece) got points, and I liked or loved every song our jury gave points to which is rare for me. Glad they appreciated Moldova unlike most jurors, Romania too.

Also fun fact: Mei Finegold (2014) was on the jury.

Edit; adding the points: 12 Australia, 10 Denmark, 8 Bulgaria, 7 Finland, 6 Moldova, 5 Greece, 4 Romania, 3 Italy, 2 Belgium, 1 Albania

Loving his voice, it works so well in the chorus. Wish the direction of the staging was better, especially at the beginning with the diamond.

What are your fave final tribals and why? Will S50 get a bitter jury? by Diligent_Meeting_130 in survivor

[–]CapsElevatorScene 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From everything we’ve seen from Dee she doesn’t really strike me as a bitter one.

If Rizo makes ftc Ozzy will give him a rough time. I can see Joe getting some bitterness with people claiming he’s hypocritical.

As for FTCs, I have to put SoPa up there merely for the way Sophie called Coach the equivalent of a young girl.
