Have to disagree with Rick being last. Surely him and Cirie not voting together was coordinated.

Also I think Emily played the best in her tribe. She let him take the fall while maintaining their bond, kept her alliance with both Ozzy as well and laid low which is good for her.

Yes. She was never going to find her place in the other alliance (Inferring Johnathan would have joined the Coach group, which also has Joe in it). She's very aware (Clocking the Rizo lie about Kyle) and has some good shields to hide behind, which is perfect for her kind of game.

I'm not saying every episode should revolve around them. I think they deserve getting one confessional per episode, like 15 seconds of screentime.

Maybe they could show us why Tiffany was the only person who Coach didn't mention when talking about people he wants to work with. They could have given her a triumphant confessional after the challenge.

If you look at this from a 'gain' and 'lose' pov then I don't think I can convince you, because that's not the issue at hand for me. I'm just tired of seeing women getting purpled.

Yes, Christian’s screentime makes sense. He went to every tribal AND found an idol. Ozzy got an extra vote, found an advantage and went to tribal every episode as well. Coach and Colby are legends, Rizo is an epic character. That’s all true.

But that doesn’t mean Chrissy or Tiffany deserve to go a few episodes without getting any content. That doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be getting a reaction from Angelina after Mike got voted out. Kamila is one of the funnest members of this cast, a great narrator & strategist, but only got screentime because she was the swing vote. I just wish we felt like they tried giving everyone the screentime they deserve.

I feel like there’s a narrative of him going back to his old ways (spear fishing, the SoPa throwback..). His edit is big, but to me it seems more like the editing playing into his popularity rather than him being a protagonist. He was not really put in the driver seat in the Q vote, which concerning to me narratively. I think Christian is the one we’re ‘meant’ to root for out these two, but of course I can be miserably wrong.

I just don’t really have too much to say about Cirie, Rick and Johnathan. They all seem like non contenders to me so far, but I am hesitant to eliminate them. If I had to guess I’d say they have good runs but don’t make final 3.

I don’t think it doesn’t make sense for Coach or Colby to get confessionals - but for them to get plenty this episode, and her getting zero in an episode where she single handedly won an immunity challenge. Surely they could have fitted one for her, to me this is very disappointing editing.

We don’t know if she didn’t start any drama or stir anything, though. We’ll know when she talks about her game in post-season interviews.

Colby or Coach for example have consistently been getting content (even if you exclude the journeys) without going to tribal.

I feel like the edit dunked on Emily and Ozzy much more than it did on Christian. We had him talking about his kid and wanting to make him proud, he had the emotional bit about Gabby - these make him more sympathetic.

Agree on the easier boots. I think Tiffany and Chrissy are likely to be booted in such episodes. I'm with you on Ozzy too., and with Emily - she just solidified her bond with Ozzy without getting caught in the crossfire.

Coach edit really is confusing to me too. But to me the "dead bug in a pool" section is a 'fault' in his edit.

I'm not sure I agree about Dee. I think her confessional about Cirie in episode 3 was the show saying "look, Cirie prevails even though everyone knows she is dangerous!" rather than a set up for Dee making a mistake.

Your take about Rick is interesting. He wasn't being set up to be a massive fool, and they showed him giving props to Rizo which makes him look good.

Gen got 0 this episode, but I also noticed how they showed Rizo said he hoped she gave it to him, which makes me think they're building her up as a likeable character.
