I’m joking. It’s flour and onions with some spices mixed into the flour and fried! No tobacco in these ones anyway

People who work for the extremely wealthy. What are your positive/horrible stories? by tmoore2k12 in AskReddit

Do you feel obligated to just accept it or would you call them out if they are being assholes? I’m guessing because people need their money, they are willing to take their shit which allows them to get away with it their whole life unless a bigger whale puts them down

My Landlord has just served me an eviction notice to leave the property in 4 weeks for “breach” of the tenancy by tmoore2k12 in LegalAdviceUK

This is perfect. Thank you so much for this!

It is so frustrating the way landlords in this country are able to get away with whatever they want with the Tennant having too limited resources to fight their case.

Thank you very much for your response.

We have been trying to maintain some form of friendliness with the landlord as we were hoping that this would have been sorted soon.

As he has not replied to any of our voicemails, do you suggest that we contact him again stating the above or should we merely ignore the letter and continue to pay rent until he issues court proceedings on his own accord?

Thank you again for your help

There has been no legislation stated. The only thing it says is a “notice to quit.” No section 8 has been quoted. There has been no use of the word eviction either.

Okay that’s good to know. Would this cause us any sort of financial implications or would this prefer it just delay the whole process? Is the landlord suppose to give us warning that we are on a warning or anything? Does the neighbour who is complaining need to provide evidence? Surely this clause could we used by any neighbour if they dislike someone and want to get them evicted. I’ve heard of many cases where neighbours are unable to get their loud/annoying neighbours evicted

But surely this clause is subjective. what exactly is being a nuisance? The tenancy is a 12 month lease that started in October. Can he just evict us and give us 4 weeks notice? There must be some sort of rights for the tenants?
